Consumer Complaint: A sales representative knocked on my door asking me to try their XXXX XXXX product ( XXXX XXXX ). He said that the service was free for the first month, and that if I did not like the product I could return it within 30 days of set-up. Their equipment shipped out to me on XX/XX/XXXX. Their XXXX product consistently failed and I shipped the product back with a return label provided by XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. I have email documentation. Afterward, I received a bill from XXXX for {$25.00} for billing period XX/XX/XXXX - XX/XX/XXXX. I contacted XXXX via phone. I asked if they had mistakenly charged me for the XXXX service, but they couldn't find me in their system. I was asked to contact their Fraud Department. I did and they were not able to help. I was asked to contact their Finance Department. I gave the finance department an account number on the bill they sent me. They verified that it was related to the XXXX equipment and also verified that I had returned the equipment within 30 days of set-up. They stated that they had created a cancellation ticket to remove the charge ( below ). Ticket # to reverse charge - XXXX I was told that it would take 1 to 2 billing cycles for the reverse charge to appear. They apparently did not correct anything, and in XX/XX/XXXX I received a collection notice from a debt collection company by the name of XXXX. I called XXXX and they stated they could not speak to me because it was not with the debt collection company. So I emailed XXXX all the documentation along with the information stated above. They did not respond after receiving my documentation. I assume they realized the debt was not legitimate. They apparently sold or transferred the debt to another company. I received a debt collection letter from Jefferson Capital on XX/XX/XXXX stating the debt was owned by them. I called Jefferson Capital and asked for an email address so that I could forward all the documentation I had previously sent to XXXX. They would not provide an email address and stated that I would need to mail any documentation. It seems that these companies can just keep transferring an illegitimate debt around and wasting my time with it.

Consumer Complaint: on XX/XX/XXXX I received a writ of garnishment via email from my HR dept for {$880.00} to begin being withheld on XXXX XXXX, XXXX. There was a judgement attached that was received XX/XX/XXXX. I had no idea of this judgement. I immediately responded to my HR dept to find out what this was about. They could not provide me any information. I searched through all my old paperwork that night and came across a credit bureau I pulled on myself back in XXXX and there was no judgement on my credit file. The next day I called the entities listed on the said judgement and the Law office listed could not find an account for me and proceeded to tell me that the paperwork was wrong. The other entity listed I called and was hung up on first, and when I called back I got transferred to XXXX different people and was given another entity name that actually had the said debt. I called that entity and they referred me to the Law office that sent the garnishment. I called them and was given no information. I was told they would send a letter of validation which I would receive in XXXX days. While waiting on this I decided to go to my local courthouse and get a copy of said judgement. I picked that up and upon going through the paperwork from them I came across another entity name that the debt originated from. I have never had an account with said entity. I have still not received the letter of validation I was suppose to get in 7 days either. I have had a good credit since I filed bankruptcy back in XXXX. I have not had any trouble obtaining credit in the last XXXX years. I have purchased XXXX vehicles and have credit cards as well. In XXXX before the pandemic hit I was approved to purchase a home. My credit score is over XXXX so I have no idea why I have been targeted and my wages garnished.
