Consumer Complaint: I have attempted to dispute a charge off with XXXX XXXX, I have spoken with what they stated was the presidential office with a woman named XXXX. She explained to me that the charge off happened three days previous, XXXX and continued to tell me to deal with collections. She offered no support and when I was sent to the collections number, they did not have my account on file, thus I was never notified about this debt/charge off and now they are refusing to attempt to remedy the situation. I do not have any records showing I had a balance as I presumed the account was closed. Thank you for your help. XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: XXXX has been reporting my past due bill since 2008. This year marks the 7th year that is suppose to fall of my credit report. Collection agencies are buying collection debts that are 7 years older and putting them back on peoples credit file for another 7 years. This is causing me a great deal of stress when i know, they ca n't do this. Its being reported back on my credit file but under a collection agency not XXXX. XXXX deleted their account and jefferson put it back on when it was suppose to fall off this year. Not it restarts the 7 year thing all over again. This is not fair to the people, buy using this dirty tactic to keep it on peoples credit report forever.

Consumer Complaint: I have an account showing on my credit report with XXXX. I call XXXX and was told they sold my account to Jefferson Capital Systems , LLC, located in XXXX MN XXXX. Jefferson is not the one reporting this account on my credit report however they are the ones that have this debt in their possession. Unless you have limitless amounts of time to sit on hold you get no answer to the phone calls. I have called XXXX times today alone and sat on hold for over a half hour. I have tried to call during CST time as I am in the same time zone. called them at XXXX in the afternoon and their office was closed. I would like to get my debt paid and off my credit report however I have no way of getting it. Website they provide does n't have any contact information other than the email address which they stated they will not provide me with information. How does a consumer pay off their debt when they make it impossible to get the statement to do so? I have to take time off of work to call these folks and try and get some sort of resolution I want to get this debt paid.

Consumer Complaint: On XXXX XXXX, XXXX I was served with a civil warrant with a court date of XXXX XXXX, XXXX from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX on behalf of Jefferson Capital Systems LLC ( Original Creditor is : XXXX ). After several failed attempts to contact Jefferson Capital Systems LLC by telephone, on XXXX XXXX, XXXX I filed a complaint with the XXXX trying to collect information on the account before I had to appear in court. On the night of XXXX XXXX, XXXX they replied to the complaint where I did n't receive access to any documents from them to verify the account until XXXX XXXX, XXXX AFTER my court appearance. Therefore, not only did Jefferson Capital Systems LLC never provided me with any information regarding the account before they filed the suit against me but they also did n't give me adequate time to verify the account information before the account was turned over to the attorney 's office. I also believe that Jefferson Capital Systems LLC is reporting false and inaccurate information on my credit report. The account number they show on my credit report does not match the account number they filed the suit against me on but the original creditor 's balance and dates match my credit reports prior to XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. I do n't have my credit report for XXXX & XXXX that date could actually be an earlier date. They are reporting a opening date of XXXX and the original date the account was open was XXXX XXXX. They are also reporting from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX a monthly payment of {$33.00} that I have n't paid. The last payment I made was on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX of {$33.00} which is reflected on the Statement of Account Activity that they provided to me after my court date. Additionally the balance on the suit filed is : {$940.00} which reflects the balance on XXXX statement dated XXXX/XXXX/XXXX and continued at that balance until XXXX XXXX at which time Jefferson Capital Systems LLC increased the balance to {$1100.00} which was after they turned the account over to the attorney to have the suit was filed against me in XXXX XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: On XXXX/XXXX/XXXX I received a phone call from my payroll department stating that Jefferson Capital Systems will be receiving a portion of my wages through a garnishment. I filed a complaint with the XXXX against JCS for garnishing my wages for payment on a debt I have no knowledge of. In my complaint, I asked for the following to verify the debt : 1. Full original account number 2.Date original account opened 3. Any written agreement between myself & the original creditor stating that I agreed to pay the original debt. 4. Consumer address at which original account was opened 5. Date of 1st delinquency 6. Itemized calculation of alleged debtI received a response from JCS 's attorney, XXXX XXXX, on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX stating that he had sent a letter with all of the above requested information, and stated that the debt was a defaulted Credit Card account issued by XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX. He stated that the account was opened on XXXX XXXX, XXXX, and was charged off on XXXX XXXX, XXXX with a default balance of {$1500.00}. I have several issues with the information provided in his response. 1. As of XXXX/XXXX/XXXX, I still have not received any documentation from XXXX XXXX or JCS verifying the validity of this debt, as requested in my first correspondence with them, and as was stated by XXXX XXXX was mailed to me. 2. I have never had a credit card account with XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX. 3. On XXXX XXXX, XXXX, I was XXXX YEARS OLD, and could not have legally signed a contract or opened a credit card account. ( My wife is also listed jointly on this account, and she would have been XXXX years old at the time it was opened. ) On XXXX/XXXX/XXXX, I responded to XXXX XXXX stating my concerns and again stating I had not received any verification of the debt and therefore, believed the alleged debt to be invalid. At this time, JCS had received {$800.00} from me, and I requested the money be returned to me and the judgment be dismissed or deemed satisfied. On XXXX/XXXX/XXXX, I received a response from XXXX XXXX stating that JCS believed the debt was mine, and would continue to garnish my wages. He directed me to call XXXX XXXX, an account manager, to discuss a resolution that would be satisfactory to both parties. To date, JCS has taken {$1800.00} from my paychecks. In the documentation provided to me by XXXX XXXX, the original debt was {$1500.00}. However, JCS is garnishing my wages in excess of {$3900.00}. ( As stated by my payroll department. ) I do n't believe this debt is mine, but I am being forced to pay it! I do n't believe I can resolve this without help. My first attempt to resolve this through the XXXX was unsuccessful. I am hopeful the CFPB has the resources to get to the bottom of this and help me!

Consumer Complaint: I have experience this 3 times inside of 2 years with 3 different carriers as my XXXX condition required 2 moves. This was a XXXX where I purchased the phones that claimed they would work in XXXX they did not- although there map of coverage and customer service claimed it was within the coverage areas. Purchased cell phone plan- cell phone provider was unable to meet the requirements of data services, coverage. Numerous calls to report missed calls, dropped calls, poor service or no service in areas that they claimed had service coverage. After months of calling customer service and complaining I cancelled my contract due to them not holding up there end of the contract- at that time I was told I could not do that and they would take immediate legal action. I figured since they said they were taking me to court I would n't have to do any of the filing and it was on them- surprise it went to collections.

Consumer Complaint: Previously an " alleged debt '' was trying to be collected for from multiple collection agencies to which I communicated with all via certified mail and request that they provide accurate and appropriate documentation to verify proof of alleged debt to which they could not-Every time I sent out certified letter I sent the previous copies of certified letters as well from the prior collection agency to whom the current collection bought the alleged debt and the collection agency would respond with an apology and removal of this from their system as well as my credit file as they were inaccurate in what they were doing-Jefferson Capital Systems not only is trying to collect for an " alleged debt '', but they have falsely reported this on my 3 credit reports known as " Silent '' treatment, and " Re-Aged the Alleged Debt '' for 2015-Jefferson Capital Systems is required by FCRA to report ACCURATE information concerning consumer credit files
