Consumer Complaint: On or around XXXX I opened a XXXX Phone account on or around in XXXX I closed the account the contracts are only 2 yrs long then month to month after Jefferson Capital is reporting on my credit report that I opened an account in XXXX and that the account is open This negative remark is negativity impacting my credit I have communicated multiple times throughout several years with Jefferson Capital that this is not true by phone XXXX They also report an amount of {$670.00} on my credit Then in a letter report the amount {$330.00} would satisfy my debt This company does not have the ability to show any of the information they are reporting This company has created irreparable harm to my credit impacting my ability to obtain employment and housing. By intentionally reporting new open accounts with high balances.

Consumer Complaint: To whom it may concern, On a recent review of my credit report, I discovered your company, Jefferson Capital Systems continues to report the collection account referenced herein. Prior disputes have not produced, validation of the debt nor a resolution. Pursuant to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ), I hereby notify you that I am disputing this debt in entirety, and you are required to provide me with validation of the debt by providing me all of the following information : Copy of original contractual agreement bearing my signature A clause in the original signed contract that authorizes the third party like yourself to collect on this debt. Consumer Complaint: Jefferson Capital has a history of misreporting collection dates to give accounts new DLAs and further damage peoples credit. They recently purchased a debt from XXXX XXXX. The update they added on XX/XX/XXXX via my dispute with XXXX was the historical account data which according to them is a major delinquency in XXXX of this year, when in fact they failed to update that date to correctly reflect the original date of XX/XX/XXXX, not XX/XX/XXXX, which is the disputed item at hand.
They failed to update the dates to the correct dates, even via a dispute with XXXX.
JEFFERSON Capital Systems XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX MN XXXX : ( XXXX ) XXXX XXXX CREDIT FILE : XX/XX/XXXX Confirmation # XXXX They added this derogatory item subsequent to the dispute I filed, which is not relevant to the reporting. Consumer Complaint: I received a collection notice from Radius ( 2nd collection agency ) on XX/XX/XXXX. The debtor description listed XXXX XXXX yet I've never had any account with XXXX. I called XXXX and learned that the account was opened by XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX by someone using my old name ( changed in XX/XX/XXXX after marriage ), a fake email address and phone number. I didn't open this account. The account was apparently closed in XX/XX/XXXX at which time XXXX sold the debt in the amount of {$980.00} to Jefferson Capital Systems on XX/XX/XXXX ( 1st collection agency ). I never received any invoice or collection notice from XXXX or Jefferson Capital Systems. The first time I learned of this was when I received the collection letter from from XXXX. I filed a police report on XX/XX/XXXX and it was approved on XX/XX/XXXX. I've pulled my credit reports and observed no suspicious activity. Through the FTC/Identify Theft.Gov, I submitted all appropriate paperwork and demand letters to XXXX, both Debt Collectors and all Credit/Reporting Agencies. All aside from Jefferson Capital Systems have responded and wiped out the debt/resolved the issue. Jefferson Capital continues to pursue collection of this falsified debt. I have all documentation related to this matter. Please help me.

Consumer Complaint: I have contacted Jefferson Capital Systems , LLC to try to negotiate a reasonable settlement plan, explaining that I can not afford to pay more than {$25.00} to {$50.00} per month considering a death in the family and prior to the passing of that family member, I was caring for that family member 's long and progressive illness from two years prior. I have also had other problems in the mean time, including loosing my health insurance and paying off other debts. They did not want to stop any collection actions until I plan to make a payment plan with them. They wanted me to come up with {$100.00} within 7 days and for a month there after. They don't seem to care about my situation. I will also file a complaint with the FTC.
