Consumer Complaint: XXXX had a card since they 1st. formed a partnership w/Costco back in XXXX. We had 2 cards w/Citi-BK since there partnership w/ Costco. We closed our business & now they won't issue us a non business card. The reason is that we don't have history with any credit bureau in our names. We tried to tell them that we had business account with Citi since XXXX. They won't listen. They had to close our business account because of IRS Regulations. I checked w/ IRS & there is no such requirement. Here is our card information : XXXX XXXX. Card # XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. Card # XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. When I asked for an increase of $ XXXX & told them that we had closed our business & we are going to travel for a while. That is when the girl close the account. Consumer Complaint: I filled my Tax return and I received my income from the IRS into my bank {$69000.00} on the XX/XX/2023. I went there to withdraw some of my money, and Citibank manager asked me where did I get the money from! And I told them that I received my tax return from the IRS. Citibank didnt allow me to withdraw some of my money, and also frozen my account. They said to me that they will close my account! On the XX/XX/2023 they sent me a notice that my accounts will be closed within 60 days. But they will return everything belongs to me when the account closes. Citibank closed my account and they sent me W9 forms on XX/XX/2023 and I filled out the forms and submitted it to them through mail. Since that I havent heard anything from Citibank. When I try to call them they will direct me to fraud department and they will be telling me that they are still investigating my money! I have called them several times but still telling me the same thing about my own money. Im frustrated now and I need your assistance to help me. I reached out to XXXX and they reached out to Citibank as well, but Citibank didnt explain anything reasonable to me. They just want to take my money now. Please help me. Im even XXXX now and I need my money to to purchase a lot of stuff for my family. Hope to hear from you soon, Thank you.

Consumer Complaint: I have had a checking account with Citibank for 20+ years and also had a CD with them for the last several years that I allowed to auto-renew each year. The Citibank web site and monthly statements shows the CD current balance and does not show anything is wrong with the CD account. Today ( XX/XX/ ) I contacted them by phone about stopping the auto-renewal of the CD at the next maturity date ( XX/XX/ ) and was told the CD account was in an inactive status because I had not initiated any transactions for several years, other than the auto-renew. My Citibank checking account, managed under the same username login as the CD and titled with the same single account owner as the CD is very active ( multiple transactions per month ) so marking the CD as inactive because I haven't made any transactions in that account doesn't make sense. You don't do deposits/withdrawals against a CD account and allowing it to renew on a yearly basis is normal behavior. Citibank is stating that they will turn the account over to my state as unclaimed funds unless I physically go down to a branch to fix the inactive status. Even though I had verified my identity through a series of questions over the phone they stated that they could not re-active my CD account unless I visited a branch in-person which is not reasonable. They have my email address as well as my mailing address and have not sent me any correspondence that this was a problem- it wasn't until I called and asked about this account that I was even made aware of the issue. Citibank 's web site and monthly printed statements show the CD balance without any indication there is a problem.

Consumer Complaint: This company is trying to collect a debt that was NOT validated upon request by Citibank. Citibank then sold the " uncollectable '' debt to this collector. By virtue of laws and statutes, the failed validation by Citibank carries for the debt itself, and is DOES NOT become collectable because is was sold or purchased by a third party debt collector. The debt is still uncollectable, may not be reported, and is no longer subject to litigation by Federal laws. This company has been noticed and given XXXX hours to remove any and all derogatory information from reported trade lines. failure to do so will lead to litigation by myself, the claimant, against the collector and Citibank. Under the guidelines and Federal laws supporting validation of debts, and the companies failure to meet the standards, I demand the derogatory information be removed with prejudice.

Consumer Complaint: I applied bloomingdale credit card onXX/XX/2023 and planned to use this card to purchased a XXXX XXXX XXXX and a XXXX XXXX XXXX because it has 20 % off for new customer. The details are listed here.https : XXXXXXXX When I tried to use the card to apply for the XXXX XXXX XXXX on XXXX XXXX, I didn't see the 20 % off applied in my shopping cart, so I called customer service, and purchased the carseat through customer service over the phone. And I was also told the 20 % off will be applied when it showed as my card transaction. I then purchased the XXXX XXXX the next day by myself online ( on XX/XX/2023 ). However, when the statement of the charged showed in my card, it doesn't have the 20 % off, even after couple of weeks, so I called customer service again, and I was told stroller and carseat are excluded from the 20 % off. I told them the exclusion was not listed in anywhere on their website, and I purchased the carseat through customer service over the phone, and clearly told the 20 % off will be applied in statement. However, I was told the same that stroller and carseat are excluded from the 20 % off, and they did admit that it was not clearly listed in their website, but they apologized that they could not do anything about it. I feel really unfair about it, so I tried to dispute the charges of the 20 % off, which is a total of XXXX $ through the bloomingdale credit card XXXX. However, I recently got the decision letter, and the dispute got rejected, because stroller and carseat are excluded from the offer... I feel the decision was strongly biased, because the letter was sent from bloomingdale billing department, and clearly, it is not the credit card bank ( which is XXXX XXXX ), but Bloomingdale who did the " investigation '' and rejected my dispute. So I would like to complain about this here, since this is totally unfair to me.

I subsequently recieved a statement reflecting the XXXX balance along with a letter from Home Depot concerning a security incident of an unauthhorized party gaining access to personal information of my account. My next billing statement had a balance of {$28000.00} due, which is fraudulent, as i have not charged anything. And these fraudulent charges are being reported to the credit bureaus reflected on my credit report.

Consumer Complaint: When I signed up for a Macy 's credit card through XXXX XXXX, they put in the wrong address. It was highly challenging to contact them over the phone and took four attempts to get somewhere. I finally spoke to someone who said she would excuse the late fees and interest because I could not pay the card since it went to the wrong address. I paid the entire card off and closed the account. However, I received a notice that I owe {$140.00} and I can not get ahold of them again. So I felt it would be best to report it. I made it very clear that I could not pay it and I had trouble getting ahold of them and they agreed to waive all related expenses. This is shameful and unethical on XXXX XXXX to lie to me.
