Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, my wallet was stolen and unauthorized purchases were made through my best buy credit card. Somehow, the purchases were made through merchants other than best buy ( e.g., wayfair, apple store credits, and so on ). I only received a notification via text about a purchase after the credit card was maxed out, which was how I noticed my wallet was missing/stolen. I called fraud services and they told me they'd " dispute '' the charges, but I come to find out about a month later that they just gave me promotional credit that would eventually expire. Furthermore, without my knowledge, my credit limit was raised by XXXX dollars, so the thief was able to get a lot more out of my card than I can pay for. What's more is I only have access to the purchases I made through the best buy app ( since I thought my best buy credit card could only be used for best buy ), so I can't even see the charges that were made that are making my balance so high without calling " security '' services, who I had also called and told me the charges would be removed ( which weren't ). What infuriates me even more is that, today ( XX/XX/2022 ), I got a letter telling me I'm responsible for a charge because the address matched, evdn though it didn't ; because the email and billing name matched, even though the purchase was made by a name that was not on my card and it was done online, and it was sent to my neighbor 's address ( since my wallet was stolen from my car when I arrived at my house ) through a device nobody in my house even owns. I called best buy credit card fraud services and they tell that another fraudulent charge will be held against me ( and twoore are pending but clearly the result will be the same ). My balance before the theft was about XXXX, now it's about XXXX, and neither best buy nor citibank have done anything to help.

Consumer Complaint: I applied for a credit card account, and received a letter ( see attachment ), stating they can not verify the information in my application and to call a number to speak with a rep within 30 days or the application will not be considered. SO I called the number on the letter and got nothing, was not able to speak to anyone, and I still have no specific letter stating the reason ( s ) /explanation as to why the credit account has not been established as of today 's date XX/XX/2022, ( in accordance with the FCRA ). I have a right to know /receive a letter stating specific reason ( s ) why the account has or has not been set up. There is nothing wrong with my credit ( I have several other credit cards and all are current ). So there's no reason why the application should be denied. The letter says Citibank can not " Verify '' the info in my application, why is that? Opening a " secure credit card '' account with my " OWN Deposit '', is what I want to do.

Consumer Complaint: I opened checkings account with citibank 2 months ago, deposited almost XXXX thousands dollars! Few days later I tried to transfer {$500.00} from my citi bank to XXXX XXXX They kept on suspending my account! Called the technical support guys and they told me everything was fine and I could go ahead and transfer the money. After few tries they just closed my account for fraudulent activity, I had almost {$4700.00} dollars on the account! Been calling them for past 2 months they keep on ignoring me or hang up the phone on my face plus I ordered account statements they did not send anything except for a letter saying your photo copy request and. Reference no.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I received an email from XXXX stating : XXXX has identified a change in your credit information. This could be the result of a new inquiry, line of credit or a change to an existing account. I then requested a credit report through XXXX to review my credit history. I noticed that the new account in question was for an Home Depot credit card that was open on XX/XX/XXXX with a balance of {$2900.00}. I contacted XXXX and requested a dispute. I contacted Home Depot to close this account and conduct a fraud investigation on XX/XX/XXXX. I also alerted the XXXX XXXX team to notify them that this was indeed fraud and request a security alert be added to my account so that I would be notified if any new attempts to open account happened.

Consumer Complaint: I made purchase in best buy on XX/XX/14. Because they have ads on their page for cradit card apply, will get 10 % cash. The original text of the ad isApply today and XXXX % back in rewards on your first day of purchases when you are approved for the My Best Buy Credit Card. Now I have other credit card in my hand from XXXX XXXX These credit card cash back all can use to pay credit card bill, or transfer to checking account. So when I saw this, I think the best buy credit card is same way with cash back.And I apply it on sameday. Now I have {$150.00} dollar cash back, I want to use it to pay my credit card. But they said these {$150.00} can only use purchase in best buy. I believe this already violated my right to know and my right about authority dispose of cash. Please help me defend my rights

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2022, I received an email from CITI that " Your Citi account ( XXXX ) will automatically close within 60 days ''. It writes " We periodically review customer accounts and assess account activity. Based on a recent review of your Citi ( R ) Accelerate Savings account, we found that you have violated the terms of your account per the client manual. '' I contacted them on XX/XX/2022, regarding this issue, but they didn't tell me which term I violated. And I was told to wait 30-60 days to get my money back and if I hope to get my money back earlier, I need to visit a local branch. But the closest CITI branch is over XXXX miles away. It is almost impossible. I save more than {$140000.00} in the CITI account and I urgently need my money. There is no way to get my money back earlier!! I have two complaints. First, please provide the exact term that I violate. Second, I have the right to take my money back as soon as possible.

Consumer Complaint: Citibank is giving me a hard time to file a dispute against a merchant, XXXX travel that double charged XXXX me for a service on XX/XX/22. I first filed the dispute online but the website didnt provide me the right option for the type of dispute I wanted to file and so I withdrew that dispute since it was not accurate. I tried to file another one online but the system wouldnt let me. I called citicards customer service and they supposedly filed the dispute manually for me and told me I should receive a temporary credit for the XXXX while they investigate. After not receiving the temporary credit, I called them again today XXXX, and I had to ask for a supervisor since the first person had no idea what I was talking about. The supervisor supposedly told me that they had to file it manually on their system under the following dispute number : XXXX, and that I have to wait 15 business days for a resolution and that they wont provide me any temporary credit because they had to do it manually.

Consumer Complaint: on XX/XX/XXXX I purchased an animal from XXXX using my Citi credit card. Shortly after purchase and within XXXX posted live pet warranty period the pet passed away. I attempted to claim the pet warranty within petcos own posted policy and was turned away at the local store on XXXX separate occasions. The first occasion the employee on duty said that they were " to busy to deal with me at that time '' and flat out refused service on my second attempt. So I filed a billing dispute with Citi. Citi posted a provisional credit on out XXXX. However on XX/XX/XXXX I receive a notice that XXXX responded to Citi " the service was rendered to you as described at the time of sale '' so Citi has reversed the credit and will close the investigation with the info they have unless I can send proof otherwise... This does not in any way address the original billing dispute, the only option that I have to respond is by mail or fax and I can not include any sort of photos because Citi 's system apparently does not support that ( according to the document they sent me ). And at no time did anyone from Citi reach out to me to even discuss anything or request any info from me before just randomly closing the dispute on a generalized statement from the company that does not even apply to the issues at hand. Citi is not even attempting to investigate their billing disputes in good faith and I believe that they are violating my rights in their negligence.
