Consumer Complaint: Citi bank 's terms and agreement state this contract is governed by federal laws. Therefore, I ask that they honor the duration of their understanding and apply the federal that fit my situation. Under 18 USC 894, this is a collection of credit. They are not supposed to collect on an extension of credit. Under federal law I was supposed to receive a clear and conspicuous meaning of the terms and conditions of this agreement which I have not received. I wasn't told my rights under federal law about this agreement. Consumer Complaint: I started to appeal to this bank at least two months ago, if not more in regard to the impending interest that would be expiring in 18 months from the date of purchase and that would be this month, in XX/XX/XXXX. They outright denied my requests. I just signed into my account and to my absolute shock and horror I seen that my min payment had gone from {$67.00} per month to {$320.00}! I didn't even understand how this was possible and looking further into my statement activity online I seen I was just assessed XXXX in interest this month. XXXX?? I knew i would be assessed interest but i thought it was somewhere in the realm of $ XXXX {$1500.00} which is still not ideal but of course not at all what this is. There is no way I can afford this. Are they kidding me? I appealed to them to work with me and they would not. I am not going to jeopardize paying my housing expenses, which includes my rent and basic bills to survive in order to pay {$320.00} per month in a min payment. There is just no way possibly we can do it. I contacted them online tonight. I told them if they do not do something to lower this to less than half of this amount, then I guess I will be forced to go into settlement. It is not something I wanted to do but they are leaving me no choice. I am in a hardship. My car was involved in a hit and run accident last month which of course I can prove. My insurance company denied my claim and I have to pay to have the car repaired as it is a lease. This is setting us back considerably as we have to take money from a very modest 401K, exhausting it in order to pay for the repairs as we don't have it. I am on SS XXXX with one other income in the house. Period. This is not affordable.

I have Good credit yet they constantly put me on hold and then ask is there another number that I can receive text I reply no. I have one mobile number and one home no matter which I give I'm denied. Each time I'm being denied my scores drop. I'm being unfairly denied for some personal reasons by Home Depot Credit Services. Consumer Complaint: XXXX I purchased a dishwasher from Best Buy on XXXX. It was to be delivered XXXX but because of a miscommunication with a third party delivery service it was finally delivered on XXXX, badly dented. I refused it and cancelled the purchase and credit card with Best Buy onXXXX The purchase was made by opening a no interest card issued by Citi card. Since I had already been billed, I contacted best buy to make sure the purchase and card were cancelled. A fellow named XXXX with the XXXX XXXX assured me that everything was closed. Then I started receiving phone calls from Citi card requesting payment, and that I as accruing late payments on a {$200.00} debt. When I contacted Best buy to figure out if a had this debt I was referred to Citi card, and was told that they couldn't find my account and to contact Best buy. A lady named XXXX ( XXXX XXXX member ) finally figured out by listening that I was being scammed and didn't owe anything and the account was closed. The scammer calls and asks the same questions that Best buy customer service members ask, except that they push to get the first four digits of your credit card, not the last four. The accent of calls are foreign sounding and callers are male and female.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023 we attempted to open a credit card account at Macys. We applied for a joint account under my name and my wifes name providing all required information to Macys. We were denied. After much trouble getting to the right person, we were told our application was denied because of lack of activity under my wifes name for credit reporting. Since we are retired and elderly, I do virtually all of the buying for our household and that explains the lack of activity under her name. However, we were still denied the account. We dont understand since we were applying for a joint account under both of our names and there is plenty of activity under my name. We have a credit reporting score of XXXX. We are filing this complaint, primarily to ensure no black marks show up on our credit report.
