Consumer Complaint: I had 2 Citibank credit cards. I was paying on them on time and never 30 past due. XXXX of the cards had $ XXXX balance and the other one has about {$1000.00}. I flip houses- and was getting ready to refinance the flip I incurred these bills on. During the flip - they closed the {$11000.00} one for NO GOOD REASON. I was paying on time. This tanked my credit score XXXX points. Now as I am trying to refinance my loan on this flip- they closed my other {$1000.00} one - and they were still getting their money before 30 day past due. This last closure- for no good reason tanked my credit score another XXXX points. I was in the middle of refinancing out of the construction loan to more favorable terms so I can pay my bills OFF and honor my debts when CITI closed my second acct - therefore I lost the refinance. All this EVEN WHEN IN GOOD FAITH I WAS PAYING MY BILLS ON TIME.. Now because I can not refinance - I might lose that house because of CITIBANK. Have I reached out to CITI? I have spent hours upon hours on the phone getting switched to this person and that, getting hung up on, filling out on line forms for help and answers- even setting up a face to face zoom with a so-called XXXX manager. I WAS ABLE TO SPEAK TO NO ONE. The face to face meeting I had set up never called me. I need answers regarding how this type of service ( or lack of ) can exist in the United States. I want to know how this company can indiscriminately close my accounts. Aren't there any protections for consumers? I also want my accounts reinstated and my credit fixed. I have suffered a great deal, to the point of not being able to feed my family to keep my credit rating intact and to pay my bills. I was getting ready to pay off those cards- and now due to their indiscriminate actions I may have to file bankruptcy.

Consumer Complaint: I called the customer support number for my Citi Card asking them if it was possible to pay off my purchase amount. I also had a Flex Loan. I only wanted to pay the purchase amount as my interest rate was going to go up. They told me absolutely I could pay only the balance on my purchase amount. I asked them what that balance would be as of that day. They told me the amount and I asked them several times before we hung up if I pay that amount it will pay off the purchase amount and that it would be definitely applied to the purchase amount only. They assured me that it would and that this was noted on my account. So I made that payment. When I received my statement on XX/XX/2023 that is not what had happened. The entire amount had been applied to the Flex Loan instead. I did a Chat session with a customer service repXXXX named XXXX. He stated that he submitted the request to get it corrected and they would have this fixed within 3 to 5 business days. I stated my request again and XXXX replied back that it would definitely be corrected and that I would receive an email confirmation and a letter in the mail. I contacted Citi back after it had been the 5th day and XXXX again told me that it was processing to wait a few more days. I contacted them again on the 8th day and they gave me a number to call. I called that number and they very rudely told me that they could not do that. I have been back and forth with them since being even told " maybe it could or maybe it could not '' I would like my payment applied to the correct purchase amount as previously requested and this fixed as they had previously told me that it would be. I have spent hours trying to resolve this and have been treated extremely rudely.

Consumer Complaint: I received a promotional offer from Citibank to open a " Citi Accelerate Saving Account ''. I opened a new Citi account on XX/XX/XXXX with a ACH transfer of {$28000.00} from XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX and received a confirmation email on that date. Citibank credited the account XX/XX/XXXX. I received another email from Citibank thanking me " for enrolling in the Citi Accelerate High-Yield Savings Tiered Bonus Offer ''. This email explained the details of the offer : $ XXXX {$49000.00}. = {$150.00}. Bonus ; {$50000.00}. or more = {$450.00}. Bonus. I had 20 days to fund the account. An additional {$25000.00}. was transferred XX/XX/XXXX bringing a balance of {$53000.00} meeting the requirements for a {$450.00}. bonus to be earned after maintaining that balance for 60 days. This account satisfied all requirements and still remain with Citibank. I began calling Citibank in XX/XX/XXXX. I had several issues getting access to this account. I kept being told the the matter would be resolved. XXXX XXXX I received a letter from Citibank indicating no such offer was ever made to me in conjunction to my account. In response to that letter, I called on XX/XX/XXXX. Their Representative found the Promotion, would credit {$450.00}. to the account and make Interest adjustments back to XX/XX/XXXX. I called Citibank XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX with no results.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX of 2022 I began receiving notices of credit inquiries that I did not make through XXXX. Unknown persons attempted to apply for a Master Card through Macy 's twice. Also, in late XXXX I was contacted by XXXX XXXX with a suspected fraudulent application for a {$25000.00} student loan using my information as a co-signer. The most recent activity was an unsolicited inquiry to Macy 's and American Express on XX/XX/XXXX. I found out afterwards that the perpetrators were able to reopen my XXXX account. I was able to re-freeze my XXXX account with a fraud alert and I have spoken to both Macy 's and American Express and reported the inquiries as fraud.

Consumer Complaint: Citi Card charges interest even when APR = 0 % on account. In my XX/XX/XXXX Statement, the balance Subject to Interest section ( the regulatory form at the end on statements ) indicates that NO amount of balance is subject to interest. My account was supposed to be at 0 % interest in that cycle as well as several cycles thereafter. I was still assessed interest in the XXXX cycle. Citi sent me a letter on XX/XX/XXXX indicating and confirming that my PURCHASE balance had been paid off in full. Is that not the Card Act equivalent for considering me a transactor?

Consumer Complaint: On XXXX2023 I deposited {$5700.00} in the form of 5 checks from the U.S department of treasury. The next day XXXX2023 Citi Bank with out warning put a block on my account due to " Potential Fraudulent Activity ''. They were no help at the branch and said there was nothing they could do and would take 48 hours to receive a decision if they will be lifting the block or closing my account. This is extremely troublesome as I have bills to pay and have a family emergency and have to get to Florida due to a sick grandparent. I cant pay for a flight, buy grocery 's, pay my bills. To top it all off I have direct deposits that will be going into this account next week as well. I need this account reopened ASAP. This can not wait. These check were from the Treasury department for God sake. Its not like it was a personal check! Please help! My next course of account will be a class action lawsuit against Citi Bank. I don't want to have to take it that far but am prepared to do so. They have got to be better about fraud protection. I understand keeping people protected but this is absolutely ridiculous as I was able to confirm my identity. Anything you can do to help would be much appreciated. Best regards,
