Consumer Complaint: CitiBank dba SearsCard violated federal law, violated its MasterCard regulations, did not respond to my many specific proofs of a false charge to my account, did not investigate a single fact of the dispute, and ignored the merchant 's self-incriminating information. Attached is a detailed letter of the facts of the case, all of which CitiBank has totally ignored and none of which CitiBank ever refuted. Also, CitiBank has ignored my request to close my account and record it as being my request.

Consumer Complaint: Long ago in the middle of pandemic I was told that they offered services to help with payments such as delayed payments, haunt on interest rates etc. I called to try and have this done and was told no we do not even tho it stated on their app they did, was also told they would not stop the frequency of calls. Eventually I started catching up with bills after finding work and childcare in the pandemic but it barely covered interest rates. I tried again with no evail my payments weren't enough and they wanted more and more n I told them that was impossible unless me and my kids stopped eating and paying bills. I was talked over everytime, most times by someone XXXX XXXX and ignored untill I hung up. The calls have become more frequent. 2 sometimes 3 times a day. This is way to much and I have had enough!

Consumer Complaint: I have sent in legal tender multiple times and Citicard accepts the special deposit, then they reverse the credit and do something called " private placement '' because I didn't send them a " registered security ''. In doing so, Citicard fell out of honor, and in an attempt to correct the situation I sent them a {$100000.00} registered security. Citicard just stole that as well, and did NOT apply anything to the account. I sent them a U.C.C. 1 claiming the contract. I sent them a U.C.C. 3 assigning Citicard to perform I sent them a Bureau of Fiscal services form 233 giving them POA to receive and apply payments I sent them a hand written letter explaining the facts. I have yet to come to a resolution, I lay this situation at your feet.

Consumer Complaint: Regarding Disputes/Fraud Investigations ... XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX This extremely fouled-up six-week investigation was precipitated by one ( 1 ) improper {$200.00} charge made by XXXX and an over-jealous member of the CitiCard Security team who, when I reported the erroneous {$200.00} charge on XX/XX/XXXX, enlarged the fraud investigation to include ALL of the XXXX transactions. As a result, a proper {$530.00} CREDIT ( issued by XXXX ) was removed and has now ( on the XX/XX/23 statement ) has been posted as a CHARGE. I have contact CitiBank 5 times in the last 6 weeks, including 3 contacts with your security department. Twice I have sent the requested documents : Doc # 1 : Screenshot of my account taken on XX/XX/XXXX showing both the {$530.00} CREDIT and the {$200.00} Charge both from XXXX. Doc # 2 : Email dated XX/XX/XXXX from the XXXX XXXX XXXX verifying that they have issued the {$530.00} CREDIT and that they had not made the charge for {$200.00}. Doc # 3 : Email message dated XX/XX/XXXX from XXXX verifying that they issued a CREDIT of {$530.00} AND they had mistakenly charged me {$200.00} in the process, and they have issued a credit of {$200.00}. I never disputed any of the other charges by XXXX that was the doing of a member of their security team. RESOLUTION NEEDED : 1 ) CitiBank needs to CREDIT my account {$1000.00} ( $ XXXX ) for posting this amount on my current XX/XX/23 statement as a CHARGE. 2 ) Citibank needs to REMOVE the verified improper charge of {$200.00} ( dated XX/XX/XXXX ) and posted on my XX/XX/23 statement both as a charge and a credit. Immediately after my last conversation with several CitiBank security team members, my on line access to recent transactions was blocked as well as my access to the Dispute Center.

I HAVE TOLD EVERY SINGLE REPRESENTATIVE I DID NOT AUTHORIZE THIS ACCOUNT OR EVER AUTHORIZE PAYMENTS FROM THIS ACCOUNT!!!!!

Consumer Complaint: Currently hold a Home Depot credit card. They often offer promotional " financing '' opportunities to extend no credit purchases of certain monetary amounts for various lengths of time ranging from 6-24 months, at no interest, with minimum payments. I took advantage of such offers while building our retirement home. Citibank is the financier behind the card. When making a payment to clear my revolving monthly balance ( as to not incur their 17.99 % interest charge ) the company redirected those funds to an allocation of their choice- to pay off an upcoming, not yet due promotional balance. This left a balance in the revolving line item which if not paid off the following month would begin to accrue interest. This was not my intent so I called the company to allocate my payment as I originally intended only to be told that was not possible. It seems their system intentionally allocates payments to attempt to confuse consumers and " trap '' unknowing or less educated consumers into paying outrageously high interest. They engage in several tactics to misguide consumers so they find themselves paying the inflated interest rates. These include adding this allocation practice to the small print of their terms and agreements, not allowing consumers to direct their payment to the amounts they want, requesting minimum payments which would lead to interest, not clearly stating what payment is needed as to not incur interest, placing that amount in smaller print below the main statement details, and telling a consumer they are unable to allocate their money where they chose. These are predatory lending practices designed to confuse consumers, take advantage advantage of Americans less educated in financial matters and force them to pay extremely elevated interest rates. It is a horrible practice designed to prey on the most vulnerable of our population.
