Consumer Complaint: I am XXXX years old. In XXXX, XXXX and XXXX, 2023, my Citicard was charged for services I did not order. The charges were XXXX a month from XXXX XXXX. I called Citicard to let them know I did not authorize these charges. Citibank temporarily removed the charges from my account pending their investigation. As Citicardwas taking so long to investigate, I called them a second time and told them the charges were a result of fraud. The latest bill from Citicard added the XXXX XXXX charges back to my card because they verified the charges. I have no idea how they got in touch with XXXX XXXX because there was no way for me to contact XXXX XXXX. I will be cancelling my Citicard, but in the meantime, I have paid Citicard {$200.00} for fraudulent charges. I will not do business with Citibank again, but I doubt the bank cares.

Consumer Complaint: Citibank offered XXXX XXXX XXXX miles for opening a checking account and completing {$1000.00} in purchases using ATM card and {$1000.00} in ACH deposits. According to the terms and conditions, once the offer requirements are met, miles will be credited to your account within 30 days. I opened up a checking account on XX/XX/2023 and completed the required tasks. On XX/XX/2023, I chatted with customer service and they confirmed that I had met the offer requirements. On XX/XX/2023, I chatted again with customer service and they stated that I met the offer 's requirements on XX/XX/2023. They filed a promo dispute ( YOUR CASE ID : XXXX ) and stated it should take XXXX business days to investigate. XXXX days later, I still have not heard anything from Citibank nor have I gotten the XXXX bonus miles.

Issue: Getting a credit card

Consumer Complaint: Received letter for Macys Credit Card ending in XXXX regarding changes to an account in late XXXX, XXXX. This was a huge surprise, as my Macys account was closed many years ago ( I believe XXXX, or earlier ). I called the creditor, and learned that there were at least 4 accounts opened in my name ( of which, only 1 was ever authorized by me ; this appears to be similar to the fraud committed by XXXX XXXX a few years back ). On XX/XX/XXXX, I made numerous attempts via phone to verify how many accounts were opened, and remained open, and to get the creditor to confirm ALL accounts were closed, but was told differing information depending on the CSR I spoke with, and they continued to be misleading when I inquired whether ALL accounts were closed. I spoke with 5 CSRs ( XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX XXXX, and none would tell me the exact number of accounts opened in my name, only that there were at least 4. They refused to provide any account numbers for my tracking and reconciliation back to the 1 authorized account. They explained that no remaining accounts were open, and I requested formal documentation explaining this explicitly ( i.e., that I had no remaining accounts open, as I could not reconcile because I had only knowledge of the 1 authorized account, and they refused to give account numbers for the other 3 ), which they agreed. I never received that documentation. For all I know there are still open accounts, or were more than 4 ( who knows!! ). Regardless, only 1 account was authorized to begin with. Im looking for confirmation that ALL ACCOUNTS IN MY NAME ARE CLOSED. Not one-off letters for a particular account that was opened without my authorization ; I can not reconcile this if I can not confirm how many unauthorized accounts were opened in my name to begin with. Huge problem here, and Ive seen companies fined millions for this very type of internal sales fraud, just like XXXX XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: I have applied Citi Credit Card with XXXX XXXX with a promotional offer of XXXX miles. Before applying Credit card, I called both Citi and XXXX XXXX and checked about my last promotion to make sure I am eligible for this promotion as I have once received miles using similar promotion in year XXXX. As they said, card can be opened again in 4 years to qualify for the promotion, I applied the card again on XX/XX/XXXX. The last card I applied was on XXXX XXXX XXXX and closed on XX/XX/XXXX. As it exceeded 48 months as per their statment, I have applied the card again on XX/XX/XXXX and it was approved and I have spend XXXX in the first 2 months and when checked with Citi again on XX/XX/XXXX, they said they can not issue miles again as the last miles were given in XX/XX/XXXX and it did not exceed 48 months. I should have waited couple of months if they were clear on this when I did my initial call. I have unnecessarily applied for it if the miles were not given to me. I should have taken some other advantages instead of XXXX hard hit on my account. I tried reaching to the bank on XX/XX/XXXX, but they couldnt help me on this. Can any way I can get help on this.
