Consumer Complaint: Each month Ive had the same issue paying my bill. All of my debit card information is correct when I call or go online to pay. Online pay never lets me pay because my card information isnt correct, so I usually call. I tried calling multiple times, I reached out to customer service, I tried paying online multiple times, and spoke to a live agent on the website and I continuously kept getting the response try again tomorrow. Tomorrow turned into next week, then next month. So I was bombarded with fees and they reported late payments to the credit bureau. I have screenshots of the texts, Ive kept the emails, and my call log verifies how many times I tried to call.

Consumer Complaint: Citibank notified me in XXXX that they would no longer renew my Citibank XXXX XXXX card that would expire in XX/XX/XXXX. Called to see if they would reconsider and they told me they would request to reopen the account. Called today XX/XX/XXXX to see the status of the situation and they said they would not reopen the account. I requested a refund of the annual fee of {$450.00} that was paid in XXXX to cover the annual fee through XX/XX/XXXX and they said they would not issue a refund. The account was in good standing and they chose to close it and refuse to refund a fee that was paid. I paid for a service and benefits that I will not have because they chose not to renew my account. This is not right. Ive been a Citi gold and then priority client for almost 20 years and thats how they chose to treat me.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023 I contacted Citi bank credit card to set payment arrangements after I was XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX. They agreed to do the payment arrangements of {$300.00} dollars a total of 5 payments. We agreed on it I received my confirmation letter for payments I went online to make my first payment and could not do it by the app online. I called them and spoke to a representative who took my payment over the phone. A few weeks later I get a call saying my payment was returned I said no not possible they read the information the prior representative who made arrangements had the incorrect information. I gave them the correct information for my bank and the first payment was withdrawn from my bank. I had to call back to make the following payment. When I called Citi Bank representative said my credit card was closed I asked to speak to a super and no one could give me an answer other than to wait for a letter. Citi Bank had a breach of contract after arrangements were made by both parties me and City Bank.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX in the attached picture, I clicked on an ad which offered free samples of sunscreen. I was charged the shipping amounts below : XX/XX/XXXX XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX CA {$5.00} XX/XX/XXXX XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX CA {$6.00} I made no further purchases with the seller. I left for a trip on XX/XX/XXXX to XXXX XXXX and returned XX/XX/XXXX ( which I can provide flight information for ). I returned to find two additional unauthorized purchases for large amounts on my card, one apparently made on the day I was on my flight. The fraudulent seller kept my card information. I received no product or service. XX/XX/XXXX XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX CA {$120.00} XX/XX/XXXX XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX CA {$110.00} It has been nearly three months and I have not received a resolution. This is the first fraudulent incident I have reported to Citibank. Despite their written guarantee of protecting credit card holders against unauthorized purchases ( which states " Youre protected against unauthorized charges on your consumer credit card account. At Citi, you will not be responsible for unauthorized charges ( charges which were not made by you, or anyone allowed to use the account ) ), they have withdrawn the credit to my account and I have spoken to a customer service representative who stated the act of providing my credit card information for the samples on XX/XX/XXXX meant that this fell under the 'scam ' and therefore not 'fraud ' category, despite the purchases being unauthorized. Additionally, I received a new ( different ) Citi card just five days ago and activated it. I had only made a single purchase before I found a new fraudulent charge posted today on this card : XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX {$220.00} The Citibank representative told me that they had previously not provided the service that prevented ongoing charges from my old canceled card from rolling over to my new one! They suspected that a seller who had held on to my old card information now had made a new fraudulent purchase that simply rolled over, completely negating any point in canceling and obtaining a new card. This is absolutely unheard of to me and I can not imagine how an 'ongoing charge ' was established, for an 'XXXX ' no less, if the description is to be believed. They finally told me my next new card would have this service ( preventing rollovers ) and would credit this amount back to me. The admittance of this fraudulent activity and the denial of the previous one is completely contradictory. In any case, I have never encountered a bank with such a large loophole that sets the customer up to be so easily taken advantage of, and one which so clearly does not stand behind their own guarantee.

Consumer Complaint: According to the Fair Credit Reporting Act 15 USC 1681 section 602 a states " There is a need to insure that consumer reporting agencies exercise their grave responsibilities with fairness, impartiality, and a respect for the consumers right to privacy. '' XXXX and XXXX are consumer reporting agencies and I am the Consumer. I have the right to make sure my private information isn't shared which is backed by 15 USC 6801 which states '' It is the policy of the Congress that each financial institution has an affirmative and continuing obligation to respect the privacy of its customers and to protect the security and confidentiality of those customers nonpublic personal information. 15 USC 1681 section 604 a section 2 states that " In general Subject to subsection ( c ), any consumer reporting agency may furnish a consumer report under the following circumstances and no other : in accordance with the written instructions of the consumer to whom it relates. '' The financial institution and the Consumer reporting agencies XXXX and XXXX do not have my consent to furnish this information and they surely do not have my written consent. Any and all consent to XXXX, XXXX, ( Furnisher of information to credit agencies ) whether it be verbal, non-verbal, written, implied or otherwise is revoked. 15 USC 6802 ( b ) ( c ) states that " A financial institution may not disclose nonpublic personal information to a nonaffiliated third party unless the consumer is given an explanation of how the consumer can exercise that nondisclosure option. '' XXXX, XXXX & XXXX Never informed me of my right to exercise my nondisclosure option. Not only that 15 USC 1681C ( a ) ( 5 ) states '' Except as authorized under subsection ( b ), no consumer reporting agency may make any consumer report containing any of the following items of information Any other adverse item of information, other than records of convictions of crimes which antedates the report by more than seven years. '' This account is an adverse item they are reporting again without my permission which is against the law. 15 U.S. Code 1681s2 ( A ) ( 1 ) A states " A person shall not furnish any information relating to a consumer to any consumer reporting agency if the person knows or has reasonable cause to believe that the information is inaccurate. 15 U.S. Code 1681e states '' Every consumer reporting agency shall maintain reasonable procedures designed to avoid violations of section 1681c of this title and to limit the furnishing of consumer reports to the purposes listed under section 1681b of this title. XXXX and XXXX are not maintaining reasonable procedures. Also 12 CFR 1016.7 states that " A consumer may exercise the right to opt out at any time. '' I am opting out of your reporting services.

According to the FRCA The term " investigative consumer report means a consumer report or portion thereof in which information on a consumer 's character, general reputation, personal characteristics, or mode of living is obtained through personal interviews with neighbors, friends, or associates of the consumer reported on or with others with whom he is acquainted or who may have knowledge concerning any such items of information. They stated my account was verified but how is that possible if they did not do a proper investigation according to the law. Also every piece of information on these accounts are still not reporting 100 % Accurate. And according to the FRCA 15 USC 1681 everything has to be 100 % Accurate. I have the credit report showing the inaccuracies. ListAccounts DISPUTE RESPONSE 15 U.S. Code 1681c-2 a consumer reporting agency shall block the reporting of any information in the file of a consumer that the consumer identifies as information that resulted from an alleged identity theft Shall be removed from the consumers report not later than 4 business days after the date of receipt. It has been 30 days and you are in VIOLATION of this law because I am a victim of identit theft!! Please delete these items as soon as possible! These accounts should not be furnished on my consumer report as they are in VIOLATION! Consumer Complaint: I made a purchase for XXXX EUR with my Citibank credit card on XX/XX/XXXX and was charged XXXX USD + an additional 3 % foreign exchange fee. The XXXX was based on a conversion rate of XXXX EUR XXXX XXXX USD as I was told by Citi. However, the official exchange rate on XX/XX/XXXX was XXXX. I understand that banks/credit cards use rates that are somewhat different from the official exchange rate, but this difference seems quite outrageous, especially since they also charge 3 % foreign exchange fee on top of it. Citibank refused to explain to me how they determine their exchange rates and only sent me a document with vague description that doesn't really say much ( attached ).
