Consumer Complaint: This complain is in regards to deficient costumer service communication and false statement that the concern will be adresed. The bank charged fees to my account without my knowledge or consent. No proper comunication was sent to me to inform that due to change iin balance a XXXX $ fee will be applied. 4 years ago I opened a checking and savings combo accounts. I kept XXXX k in the account for years. in XXXX of this year I had to transfer XXXX K which left me with XXXX k in the accounts combined. Later on when logging back into the accounts noted that my checking account has been closed without my knowledge and that I was charged XXXX $ in overdraft and account service fees. On my statements there are fees for XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. After calling the bank they informed me that the fees were charged for account servicing because my combined balance is under XXXX K information that I was no aware, no written communication has been sent to me prior to making the charges. I stated that was not awarre of such policy as no recent information was sent to me. I have multiple other bank accounts with XXXX and BMO but none of them has such ridiculous policies and even if I was informed 4 years ago when I opened that account, new updated information should be sent every year or at least when there is such major balance change in the account. Citi even closed my XXXX account without my knowledge. I called XXXX different ocasions to speak with XXXX and request the XXXX $ charged in fees to be refunded.. First time was informed that all XXXX fees will be tranfered in XXXX days back into account. after a week I followed up and got to speak with a very rude CS rep and when I saw that discussion is not going anywhere and he is not understanding the problem I had- I asked o be transfered to a differrent CS. The supervisor answered and seemed like she is adressing the issue and while I was waiting on the line, she started to pretend that connection got disconected and could not hear me even though I could perfectly hear her. I waited for XXXX min for a call back but was not returned therefore called once again and adressed the matter with a different XXXX rep who assured me that the other XXXX fees for XX/XX/XXXX and XXXX will be in full refunded to my account within XXXX days. XXXX weeks passed since then!!

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX, I disputed a charge made by XXXX saying I had purchased a game that was shipped to an address in Texas. At first, the employees I spoke to tried to be helpful. I spoke to at least XXXX. In XXXX, I received a notice that they had documentation from the merchant & the {$160.00} was added back to my account. I immediately contacted Citibank & spoke to a man ( I wish I had written his name down ). He became very accusatory & said you didn't sign the letter & return it to us by XX/XX/XXXX, as you were instructed. I told him I never received the letter. He said you most certainly did, it's on your webpage. I said & I'm supposed to know this. He said yes. I did find the letter on my webpage. I signed & mailed it to Citibank, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, SD XXXX. I phoned Citibank again & was bounced around & asked to call a different number. Finally, I reached a man who seemed to know what I was talking about. He said they had documentation from XXXX. The documentation showed my credit card number, my name was misspelled & an address of XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, Texas XXXX, where the game was delivered. I did not make this purchase & have no intention of paying. XXXX of the employees asked if I had grandchildren who XXXX have used my credit card. I do have grandchildren, but they live in XXXX & have no access to my credit card. The thing that bothers me the most is that I receive advertisements & solicitation from Citibank at least weekly in the mail & they couldn't mail the letter or send me an e-mail to tell me the letter was on my webpage. They have now sent me a bill & sent an e-mail to tell me where it was. They have charged me interest & have threatened to charge me a {$40.00} late charge. Please help.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I made a wire transfer of {$40000.00} from my XXXX Business Account to my XXXX XXXX which used Citibank as an intermediary. XXXX charged a {$25.00} fee which I accepted for the wire transfer, and the XXXX incoming transfer was going to be free. There was an issue with the wire transfer and Citibank as the intermediary returned the wire. When the wire was returned, Citibank had deducted {$40.00} from it. I have contacted both XXXX and XXXX and both banks have told me that this is fully on Citibank who took the funds. I am not a customer of Citbank and they give me no standing to even request a return of the funds. Additionally, at no point did I agree to this fee. When I agreed to the wire transfer, I only agree to the outgoing fee that XXXX charged me. This fee is hidden, not agreed to, unexplained and there's no way to return it. Additonally, were I to actually be a Citibank customer, the maximum they charge to receive a wire transfer is {$25.00}, so this is fee is pure robbery because a ) I have no way to get clarity on it b ) they do not give me a way to refund it c ) it was never agreed to d ) and they didn't even provide a service because the wire was returned. Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/23 Citibank paid out a check for {$1500.00}. from my checking account that was made out to XXXX XXXX and they gave the money to another party. This check was sent in the mail and written out to XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX did not receive the payment. I requested a copy of the cleared check and I showed the endorsement to XXXX XXXX. It was not endorsed by XXXX XXXX and I've have asked Citibank WHO THEY PAID THIS money too?? They did not answer this question. Citibank has all the information. They alone know who they gave the money to, not me, based on the check endorsement. I've signed an affidavit and XXXX XXXX sent a letter on their letterhead. They have now asked me to a third round of notarized affidavits to be sent back to them. I think they are just trying to wear me down, so I'll drop the matter. They paid a check that was clearly written out to someone else. I spoken to people at the bank, on the fraud line and sent back two rounds of notarized letters. Please help? I have a case number and copies of all letters.

They have threatened to sue me in court about a time barred debt. They have never provided me with the 1099 that I asked for which Citibank would have filed taxes as this would be considered lost income for their company. I'm a XXXX XXXX XXXX with no income, I've been denied SSI- XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX twice hence no income. Their reckless disregard for my health has caused me additional emotional and physical hardship, I'm stressed about this matter. I was told when I spoke to Citibank representatives years ago when they had written off this account that I would have to file it on my taxes as a 1099 and that they would written off the account after COVID when we had a disagreement about the balance. I'm seeking your assistance in this matter, Please have this company harassing me because I owe them nothing.

Consumer Complaint: Fair Credit Reporting Act 15 USC 1681 section 602 a states " There is a need to insure that consumer reporting agencies exercise their grave responsibilities with fairness, impartiality, and a respect for the consumers right to privacy. '' XXXX, XXXX and XXXX are consumer reporting agencies and I am the Consumer. According to 15 USC 6801, I have the right to make sure my private information isn't shared. This code states " It is the policy of the Congress that each financial institution has an affirmative and continuing obligation to respect the privacy of its customers and to protect the security and confidentiality of those customers nonpublic personal information. '' Citi Cards is a financial institution by definition under that title. 15 USC 1681 section 604 a section 2 states that " In general Subject to subsection ( c ), any consumer reporting agency may furnish a consumer report under the following circumstances and no other : in accordance with the written instructions of the consumer to whom it relates. '' Citi Cards, the financial institution, and the Consumer reporting agencies XXXX, XXXX and XXXX do not have my consent to furnish this information and they surely do not have my written consent. Any and all consent to XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, and Citi Cards, whether it be verbal, non-verbal, written, implied or otherwise is revoked. According to 15 USC 6802 ( b ) ( c ) " A financial institution may not disclose nonpublic personal information to a nonaffiliated third party unless the consumer is given an explanation of how the consumer can exercise that nondisclosure option. '' Citi Cards never informed me of my right to exercise my nondisclosure option. 15 USC 1681C ( a ) ( 5 ) further states " Except as authorized under subsection ( b ), no consumer reporting agency may make any consumer report containing any of the following items of information any other adverse item of information, other than records of convictions of crimes which antedates the report by more than seven years. ''

Consumer Complaint: A purchase for over {$900.00} was made on a Best Buy store on XXXX XXXX, FL according to my account statement. According to the Best Buy representative, this purchase was made in person with a physical card. I was in XXXX from XX/XX/XXXX to the XXXX. The purchase was made on XX/XX/XXXX without my authorization. I found out about this Monday XX/XX/XXXX, when I got a phone call and an email regarding a late payment. Since I do not use this card, I was surprised and I checked the account. As my surprise I had a balance due for over {$900.00} dollars plus late fee and interest. I immediately contacted Best Buy 's number behind the card and did a police report today. What has me preoccupied is that my mailing address, where I was getting my mail from Best Buy was in a UPS store, where I have a mail box. All my addresses were changed to my apartment building but since I don't use Best Buy, I forgot to change that one. I have my suspicions on the store because if someone ordered a new card, then they took it from there. I have not received any info back and I am very worried about my credit score, I take really good care of it and this crime is freaking me out. Attached you will find photos of the bank statement ( it got wet I apologize ), prove of my passport and the stamps that show when did I fly to XXXX and came back to the US, and prove of the FAX that was sent to Best Buy of my passport evidence. Also, the claim number and the police report case number.

Consumer Complaint: I purchased a light fixture from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. The price was {$280.00}. It took several weeks for it to arrive and then I had to schedule a contractor to install it. When it was finally installed, to would not work as one on the light receptacles did not work. When I complained to the seller they would not help. So, I asked Citi to file a dispute but they sided with the seller because they only had a 7 day window for a claim to be filed. In this case it was very difficult to get fit installed that quickly because I didn't know when it was coming, it was lost on the final leg of delivery ( from the shipped to the USPS ) and when to did finally get to me, I had to schedule it to be installed. So, it was longer than the 7 day window to find out it was broken. I'd like to have Citi understand the issue and support my dispute given the actual circumstances. Thanks.

Consumer Complaint: On the first week of XXXX of this year, I received an email from Macy 's to review my purchases made last month, however, I have not made any purchases since XXXX of XXXX, because I only use the card when my family is visiting me from my country. Multiple purchases were made on XX/XX/, in different locations totaling {$1500.00}, purchases of {$450.00} in XXXX XXXX, one of {$780.00} in XXXX XXXX, and another purchase of {$280.00} in the XXXX all on the same day. I haven't had my Macys card since I took my car on XX/XX/, to a car wash in XXXX, California. When I noticed these purchases I immediately called Macy 's to report fraud because I did not get any fraud alert of multiple charges being made nor did I make them myself. For 4 months I had to wait for Macy 's to get back to me, meanwhile also having to be responsible for paying a higher minimum monthly payment because my total balance was past its limits, I was furious because I was being made responsible for making these payments on a balance that is incorrect because of the fraud that was committed. Afterward, I received notice that my claim was denied because the person who made it, made it incorrectly, this XXXX I called and re-filed a claim for fraud because I did not want to be made responsible for such a high balance I was not responsible for. And now on XX/XX/, my claim was denied due to insufficient information, and now it is affecting my credit but also my livelihood because I work hard for my money and struggle financially. It hurts to see that his company did not send any notice to make sure I was responsible for these purchases and normally when you purchase an item in person using the store credit card they check ID in person. I need to report that this is a violation of my rights as a consumer because i am not being assisted with the proper help I require as a loyal customer that I have been for years.
