Issue: Problem when making payments

Consumer Complaint: Comenity Bank XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, TX XXXX on statement closing cycle XX/XX/XXXX billed me for finance and late fees because they claimed my payment arrived late. Since I have even had the account my payment history is impeccable and I mail payments within the few days after receipt of their statements. In recent months their statements arrive late. Perhaps due to the weather problems in Texas or their own internal defects or errors. After speaking with 4 representatives they ( smarmily XXXX agreed to credit me for the fees. I paid the full amount they claimed was due by XX/XX/XXXX and this payment was printed and mailed on XX/XX/XXXX ( I remember a Tuesday ) and dropped in a United States Post Office center the same day. The new issue : On XX/XX/XXXX I received a statement that says it was cut on XX/XX/XXXX with another late fee and interest. Clearly they are having problems because according to their timing and mailing it is taking them 8 days from the date they claim they cut the statement to receipt in New York, USPS states the mail from XXXX to NY time of a letter is about 4 to 5 days. The check I mailed on XX/XX/XXXX was cashed by Comenity on XX/XX/XXXX, Comenity states their due date was XX/XX/XXXX and they cut off their statements on XX/XX/XXXX as the closing date as printed on their statement. Its not possible for my payment to have been late again unless they are having internal process problems or weather is still affecting their operations ( one manager I spoke to told me " due to covid we are short handed, its possible that is causing a delay, we have had freezing weather that might have cuase the mail to be delayed ) None of these issues are the consumers problems and I want Comenity to issue me a full refund for late fees and interest then close my account due to the " Banks inability to manage their operations errors '' and correct my credit report. Then I suggest CFPB launch an investigation into what appears to be a regular practice or pattern of creating a payment receipt delay in their structure that causes people to pay interest and fees that would otherwise not be due. I would like CFPB to ask Comenity to send a mailing to all its customers who paid fees and interest in the past year advising them that if they have experienced errors they feel need to be investigated they should act upon their rights to do so. This bank - Comenity is a takeover and appears to be using the customer base they acquired in an unfair an unscrupulous way for gain. I want my report also elevated to the elected official board who oversees CFPB for their knowledge in case they have seen other abuses like this from Comenity.

Consumer Complaint: I am filing this complaint in case other Comenity Bank card holders are having the same issue. I called Comenity Bank on XX/XX/21 when I noticed a mysterious {$.00} foreign transaction fee assessed on XX/XX/21 on my credit card statement for my Sony XXXX. Comenity agreed that the fee was strange and agreed to reverse it. They had no other explanation for the fee, so I am concerned that this might be a widespread issue. The charge is not in the purchases section of the statement but listed separately in the fees section.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2021 I have been in pain for 4 days, I finally found a dentist who proposed me to help but the only way I must sign a contract for a credit. I received a treatment plan with 5 visits where it has been clearly defined how they will proceed. After my first, I called them and explained I could not afford the credit bill it was too expensive. They told, they cant reverse the transaction, upon I completely agree to pay the treatment. Next, I reached out to the lender to ask if they could help me with the issue, but they also refused to refund me. I have been charged unjustly for 5 visits, while I only get one. Please I need help with this issue! Thank you

Consumer Complaint: I paid off my balance in full one day past the due date due to login issues with the company. I had 0 % promo. Paid off early and because the company doesnt have autopay and an unreliable website/app I was assessed back interest for being late 1 day and they are assessing fees now on top of that interest. Ive tried to settle and they refuse to waive the fees or explain why interest was charged when I paid it off in full prior to the end of the agreement. They are compounding fees and making it appear as if Im a negative payer of against the debt I paid ahead of plan.

Consumer Complaint: I opened a Comenity Bank/Victoria 's Secret consumer credit card on XX/XX/XXXX. From the date the account was open in XXXX I remained current on all payments. In XX/XX/XXXX I took a job with a small medical practice that mainly served the geriatric population. The first COVID19 cases were being reported in late XXXX and our geriatric patient population began declining significantly due to the fear of being in a healthcare setting during an outbreak of a deadly virus. My hours were cut significantly at the beginning of XXXX and I was completely laid off at the end of XXXX due to lack of work. I missed my XXXX payment on my Comenity Bank/Victoria 's secret credit card due to the lack of working hours and uncertainty of financial stability at that time. In XXXX I was approved for unemployment assistance at which time I resumed payments on this card. I disputed the late charge that was reported to the credit bureau along with proof that I was laid off due to the Pandemic. After several disputes and explanation of my situation along with proof, Comenity Bank/Victoria 's secret still refuses to remove the late payment from my credit report.
