Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2022 I applied though XXXX & XXXX online for their 0 % credit card 18 month credit card which went through the comenity banking for their card. I was then denied the following week due to a incorrect credit score that the reported from a third party known as XXXX XXXX XXXX. Which is not one of the 3 recognized agencies. My score was XXXX XXXX less than what the recognized agencies reported. I called the number that was provided on the letter and was told that I am wrong and that their agency reports their score XXXX points less from the other agencies. I argued with them that according to the 3 agencies which I have access to my score for free my score is a XXXX, and XXXX and the letter that I received said XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2022 I paid off the amount I owed to the CC company. On the same date, the CC company states that I have overpaid. I called in and was issued a refund of the amount I overpaid ( - {$4.00} ). On XX/XX/2022 the check was issued and sent to my home address. After I received the check, I deposited it into my bank account. The amount the CC company issued and the information on my statement were different ( the check was issued in the amount of {$4.00} instead of {$4.00}. I once again called the CC company ( Comenity XXXX XXXX ) and asked them about the discrepancy. Instead of having a proper explanation, Comenity stopped the check which caused my bank to charge me a fee for a stop payment service of {$12.00} dollars. I called Comenity again and requested an explanation and a refund of the fee my bank charges me. Comenity deposited the {$4.00} to my bank account directly. The refund for the bank fee is still not paid. I am requesting Comenity to issue the check in the amount of {$12.00} to refund the bank 's fees. Thank you

Consumer Complaint: Comenity bank good XXXX rewards card. I was on a 6 month promotion with no interest however as I paid the payments the amount was applied to my new balance not my old amount first leaving a {$24.00} balance after my last payment to still charge me the interest that was on the 0 interest paid in 6 months. Im an accountant and all revivable pays are applied to the oldest balance. I called the company on XX/XX/22 to have the payment correctly charged to complete my promotion and asked for a supervisor and was hung up on by the service representative named XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: . On XX/XX/XXXX I paid my bill of {$110.00} in full. At that point I believed my balance was paid and full. However my XXXX bill had a residual balance of {$2.00}. My XXXX bill was {$6.00}. My XXXX bill was {$14.00}. My XXXX bill was {$31.00}. My XXXX bill was {$65.00}. On XX/XX/XXXX Victoria Secret sent me a text saying I have a bill for {$65.00}. On XX/XX/XXXX I made a payment for {$65.00}. I was under the impression that I had a zero balance from XX/XX/XXXX. Once I was made aware of the issue I did a dispute on the Victoria Secret web site. The dispute department rejected my claim. I would like to appeal the denial decision. I called into the Victoria Secret customer service line speaking to XXXX and her senior representative XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX explained the residual interest and the calculator process to me at that time. As I explained to XXXX how am I supposed to know the process If I was never made aware of it.

Consumer Complaint: a payment was made on XX/XX/2022 ( due date XX/XX/2022 ). Later that evening I received an email asking to bring my account up to date as if it was behind. I checked my online credit card account and noticed the payment made on XX/XX/2022 was processing. When I spoke to customer service I was made aware that a .ate fee had already been assessed although my payment due date is 3 weeks in the future. This type of error makes me very scared of how my personal information and banking information is being handled and sis why I come here today to make you aware of this. I can only imagine all the other coinsurers not noticing they are being charged unfairly.

Consumer Complaint: While at an XXXX store in XXXX, Texas in XXXX XXXX, I took out an XXXX XXXX ( provided through Comenity Capital Bank XXXX XXXX, OH ) at checkout. By doing so, the card was immediately activated so that I could pay for my purchase and receive a discount. This purchase was for {$85.00}. I was given a brochure about the card and told it would be mailed to me ; however, I was never asked to review or verify the following : - My first and last name. Even now, on this account, my first name and last name are both spelled very incredibly wrong. - My address. The bank initially sent all correspondence to the wrong address. - My phone number. I believe this information actually was correct, but they just never called me to correspond. - My email. I'm not sure if they ever had this info, but if they did, they definitely never tried to use it to let me know of account balances or charges. After this date, I returned to New York, where I live, and never received anything from XXXX or from Comenity that includes phone calls, and of course written correspondence, since my correct address was not on file. On XX/XX/XXXX, I checked my credit score as I may have to move apartments and discovered a negative mark on my otherwise usually impeccable score. I've never made a late payment on anything in my entire life, and my score had tanked from XXXX to XXXX. Upon investigating, I discovered that the XXXX card had been sent to the wrong address and had accrued more than 90 days of late fees. Upon learning of this, I immediately called and made a payment. I had to call because I didn't even know the card account number, and couldn't track it to my name ( which again was extremely misspelled ). The balance, which included the late fees and the original purchase cost, now totalled {$270.00}. A representative of Comenity credited the late fees back to my account. I paid the remaining {$85.00}, making the balance {$0.00}. After doing this, on the same day ( XXXX XXXX ), I wrote and mailed a request to Comenity Capital Bank for a goodwill adjustment. I outlined the above situation, my credit history, and the fact that this whole thing was wrapped up in a small purchase charge that could have been prevented had multiple clerical errors not occurred. A few days later I received a letter from Comenity saying my request was denied. I immediately typed and mailed another request for goodwill adjustment, this time stressing in detail each piece of evidence that clearly demonstrates I would have paid this charge had I had the opportunity and awareness, and that I don't deserve my credit score to be damaged over this. I received another denial letter a few days later. This bank obviously is fine making clerical errors and letting people suffer the repercussions that they don't even deserve. It's unclear if they ever tried to contact me to resolve the late charge. It's insane that my credit score should suffer because of a bad name and address, and that Comenity Capital Bank is OK with letting that happen.

Consumer Complaint: Comenity Capital Bank. There is an unknown account fraudulently opened under my name at Comenity Bank which has decreased my credit by almost XXXX points. I have contacted Comenity Capital Bank when I found out about the account to remove it from my name but they refused and the person I spoke to XXXX treated me badly as if I had something to do with being a victim of fraud because they say the account is paid off which is none of my business. Fast forward they refused to close the account and take it out of my name although I have a Federal Trade Commission report and they failed to protect my XXXX liability protection. This issue is keeping me from getting approved for anything wether it is business cards or apartments and greatly hindering my life. This issue has caused me documented XXXX and XXXX XXXX. If they dont remove this from my name I will proceed with a lawsuit.

Consumer Complaint: I had a promotional plan with a credit card issued by Comenity Capital Bank that I paid off prior to its expiration date of XX/XX/00. Their system did not apply my payments to the promotion plan even though I spoke to their representatives each time to make sure it would, and was told the system bounced them out. Since then I have called, written and emailed them to get this straightened out and keep getting monthly finance charges on the promotion I fully paid off. All I get is a form letter stating basically there is nothing they ca do. I have documentation to prove payments were made but no one will look at it.
