Instead, I paid {$55.00} for the inner circle membership in XX/XX/XXXX. However, XXXX 's has been reluctant to remove the charge of {$110.00} from the XXXX account. I've contacted XXXX 's several times since XXXX and here are the cancellation confirmation numbers for the XXXX 's Perks Reward membership that they provided : XXXX, XXXX XX/XX/XXXX ; XXXX and XXXX, XXXX XX/XX/XXXX ; XXXX, XXXX XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX refunded {$110.00} on XXXX XX/XX/XXXX. The Comenity Bank continues to charge interest to the account and they are aware of the ongoing attempts to remove the unauthorized renewal charge of {$110.00}. Comenity Bank will not remove all late fees and charges to my account as they stated in the attached message on XXXX XXXX. As a result, my credit score has dropped over 80 points since XX/XX/XXXX. The charge is in error because the Red Font Warning Box on the previous 3 statements was misinformed and misled customers, including myself, about the exact balance we have to pay by XXXX XXXX, XXXX to avoid paying accrued interest charges. The statement specifically stated in red highlighted : WARNING : Promotional Plan ( s ) ENDING SOON! YOU MUST PAY THE BALANCE {$980.00} OF YOUR PLAN 24 MNTH DF INT PY RQ IN FULL BY XX/XX/XXXX TO AVOID PAYING INTEREST CHARGES. Though the front of the statement said new balance of {$1000.00} and minimum payment {$35.00} by XXXX ET XX/XX/XXXX, the RED BOX and HIGHLIGHTED WARNING misinformed and misled customers that they only have to pay a total balance of {$980.00} by XX/XX/XXXX to avoid the accrued interest charges, in which I did! I believe XXXX XXXX could have made it more transparent and direct by stating that YOU MUST PAY THE BALANCE {$1000.00} IN FULL BY XX/XX/XXXX TO AVOID PAYING INTEREST CHARGES, if their intention is NOT TO TRAP customers into accrued interest charges. Unfortunately, it was NOT the case! Ive reached out to XXXX XXXX XXXX Department 3 times ( Documented Recordings ), but each time I was given a different and inconsistent explanation as to why I was charged accrued interest : - One stated that it MIGHT be the clause PLUS - IF YOU HAVE OTHER PURCHASES OR PROMOTIONAL BALANCES ON YOUR ACCOUNT, YOU ALSO WILL NEED TO PAY YOUR MINIMUM PAYMENT BY THE PAYMENT DUE DATE SHOWN ON THE STATEMENT, in which I replied that I do not have other purchases or promotional plans on this same credit card! - Another billing employee stated that it MIGHT be because I didnt pay it before XX/XX/XXXX, in which I said the clause stated as long as I pay BY XX/XX/XXXX TO AVOID PAYING ACCRUED INTEREST, which I did! - The 3rd attempt was that I had a one time late charge in XXXX of {$31.00} ( due to my XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX late process ), so they MIGHT have charged that first before the full {$980.00} kick in. With that I asked, Why wasnt this clearly RED HIGHLIGHTED IN A WARNING BOX THAT WE WILL TAKE WHATEVER LATE INTEREST CHARGE FIRST BEFORE YOUR FULL BALANCE OF {$980.00}? OR PUTTING IT IN A SIMPLER STATEMENT AND TELL US TO PAY {$980.00} PLUS LATE INTEREST CHARGES! OR PAY FULL {$1000.00} TO AVOID ACCRUED INTEREST CHARGES! Unless, XXXX XXXX purposely misled customers into paying for the accrued interest charges. Any reasonable person would not avoid paying an additional {$17.00} or whatsoever I still owe, just to pay {$2000.00} more for the accrued interest charges ( currently Im not even clear how the XXXX XXXX Department determined that I still owe {$17.00} or more or less since they were not able to explain to me ). I am requesting that the error be corrected, that any finance or other charges related to the disputed amount be credited to my account, and that I get an accurate statement. They are calling to look for a person " XXXX '' who is NOT ME This abusive and harassing calling behavior has negatively affected my work, because I get multiple calls per day. I block the numbers used, but they just spoof new numbers every day to call from. I have blocked unknown numbers from ringing on my phone, but it's caused me to miss important phone calls from my doctor. I have nearly missed appointments because of my need to block all unknown calls due to Comenity Bank.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX bank has falsely reported to all XXXX credit bureaus in XX/XX/XXXX that I missed a payment reducing my credit limit and and affecting my credit score. In the end of XXXX or beginning XX/XX/XXXX I received a phone call from a XXXX XXXX comenity rep before my bill was due asking me for a payment. I paid the balance in full {$160.00}. A week or so later i receive another call from them stating that I never paid the balance and a payment was due. I explained what happened on the previous call and asked to speak with a supervisor. I spoke with a supervisor who told me that they had an issue with the system and my payment did not go through. I checked with my credit union while speaking to the supervisor and the payment did not go through. XX/XX/XXXX I paid the balance in full {$160.00}. When i checked my credit report i saw that they reported to all 3 credit bureaus that i missed a payment and my credit score went down. I called and spoke with a customer service rep and i was told a supervisor would call me on a wednesday or thursday and i never received a call.

Consumer Complaint: I am in the process of trying to pay my promotional balances for XXXX XXXX XXXXr and I am being told that I have to pay my minimum payment before they can allow my payments to be applied towards the promotional plans, which is due before my minimum payment. On XXXX, I spoke with an agent by the name of XXXX who assured me that my payment for the month of XXXX would be applied to my promotional balance, but when I called today, I was told that I have to pay my minimum payment before they can apply anything to my promotional balance. Given the discrepancy in information provided, I am forced to believe that they are trying to make sure that I accrue interest, which I am no position to pay. This fraudulent practice must be called into question as consumers should not have pay their minimum balance before the due date.
