Issue: Fees or interest
Subissue: Problem with fees
Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX I received my statement from XXXX XXXX stating that they didn't receive my XXXX 's payment of {$82.00}. I immediately called and the XXXX representative said that because I was a good customer and had never been late, that she would waive the interest and late fee. The outstanding balance was immediately paid. Then in XX/XX/XXXX I received my statement and I was given a credit of the late fee of {$29.00} but then I was charged a {$40.00} late fee and some additional interest. I immediately called again and was told that they understood the error and would remove the fees and interest and I again made my payment. In XX/XX/XXXX I received my statement and was again charged late fee for the outstanding interest of {$4.00} which I was told would be removed. Every month I have called and sent letters and the late fees keep adding up until finally in XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX decided to charge off my account. I am horrified as I have never in my XXXX years ever paid a late fee or interest. I did have good credit but now XXXX has really hurt my credit score with the fabrication of late fees and unfair interest. I no longer shop at XXXX which is a shame because it was one of my favorite

Issue: Money was not available when promised
Subissue:
Consumer Complaint: Dear Sir/Madam : My name is XXXX. I opened several CDs and Savings accounts with Bread Saving. I even set direct deposit with Bread Savings. Recently My CD matured on XX/XX/2023. I need this money for my mortgage down payment. Because the down payment has cutoff date. I contact Bread Saving early. the first agent said <...... Please allow 1-3 business days processing time for funds to be sent to your external account ending in XXXX ... ... >. On maturity date XX/XX/2023, I called Bread Savings to inquire when I will receive my money. An agent said that they need a statement from my external bank account. I asked why the first agent didn't tell me this requirement and I this external bank account is already in my Bread Savings ACH transfer list ( and already successfully ACH transferring several times ). She insisted I must submit the external bank account statement. I did it in the same day. She promise me by sending me message < ... ... Your statement has been submitted for review. Please allow 3-5 business day for processing ... ... >. Today is XX/XX/2023, I still haven't received my money. I contacted them again, I got an answer < ... ... I do apologize for delayed process. Your pending review for statements were approved this morning and funds are in process to your Financial Institution within 3-5 business days ... ... .>. I am really upset. The worst thing is I missed the Cutoff date the mortgage company set for me. How can a bank hold my money for 2 weeks when it matures. Thanks. XXXX

Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed
Subissue: Debt is not yours
Consumer Complaint: Commenity Capital is trying to collect on a debt that I supposedly owe that is not mine. This debt is in the name of XXXX XXXX. My name is XXXX XXXX. I have contacted them on numerous occaisions via certified letter regarding this and they refuse to remove the bad debt from my credit reports. I've contact the credit bureaus and 1 out of 3 have removed this error but the other two so far have not. I have also contact the credit bureaus on numerous occaisions by certified letters. The debt in question is this Account : # XXXX Date Opened : XX/XX/XXXX Date Updated : XX/XX/XXXX Orginal Charge Off : {$2200.00} Credit Limit : {$2100.00} Pay Status : Sold, ChargeOff This debt is showing up on my credit reports, specifically XXXX and XXXX, XXXX removed it, and this has definately hindered my ability to get credit or apply for credit. In fact it has also caused me emotional harm. Being denied for credit because of someone else 's debt on your credit reports is simply awful! Also, this is a HIPAA Violation. To share someone's medical information with other people, or third parties like myself and the credit bureaus is definitely a legal matter and something I am looking into as I write this. My request is for Commenity Capital to remove all of these bad debt entries from every single one of my credit reports including, XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX and all the others. I don't know how far this has gone but it has tainted my reputation and reduced my credit score by well over XXXX points maybe more! Police Report filed with this complaint
