Consumer Complaint: Terrible customer service. I was charged an annual fee when I never authorized or used the card. I called and spoke to XXXX XXXX XXXX customer service four times over four months. Each time, they said that they would waive the {$99.00} annual fee and cancel the card ( per my request ) and never did. When I couldn't resolve with the issue with customer service, I sent emails and certified letters to the Barclay Bank CEO, XXXX XXXX and the Head of XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX. Both have not gotten back. Stay away from this card and Barclay Bank.

Consumer Complaint: Barclays Bank issued an XXXX XXXX credit card. XXXX ID is XXXX for card ending in XXXX card was charged {$1200.00} for services not provided. The card was used to book a week long hotel stay in XXXX. The card was issued for XXXX which found a local hotel The hotel was unsatisfactory, unsafe, with open drug usage. We canceled the reservation after XXXX night and paid the merchant separately. We contacted Booking.com multiple times but they had, transferred the money to a foreign country. It landed in XXXX and XXXX didn't have the money to return. This is an outright theft of {$1200.00} for no services or product provided. Barclays Bank should have provided protection for this fraud. But they claim they were not " provided the true nature of the dispute. '' This is a lie. We discussed this with them in detail.This is a large amount of money that Barclays wants us to pay them for nothing.

Consumer Complaint: These people denied my dispute when someone hacked me and spent XXXX dollars of my money. When disputed they tell me I verified that the card was in my position. When i got the text for the verification I clicked " 2 '' which meant it wasn't me. They denied dispute telling me i clicked " 1 ''. I don't know who or what the merchant is supposed to be or do. When I initially called to dispute I let them know that all my accounts were hacked and they do not think once that i may have been sim swapped. This cards XXXX fraud liability is the biggest joke ever. They do everything in their power not to give your money back that was fraudulently used. My request is the charge to be removed from my account ASAP or I will cease to use Barclay ever again. This is very ridicules that I have to go to this length the save myself.

Consumer Complaint: I had my credit run by Barclays in early XXXX to do with a personal loan offer attached to my credit card. I completed all documentation and submitted the application of which was accepted. When it came time to accept it my end the online portal did not work and the overseas call center said they would address it and someone would contact me, they told me that I need not be concerned and the offer would remain valid. 1 month later after contacting Barclays numerous times no one knew what to do, finally I get an online acknowledgement of which I accepted in XXXX and the loan was validated, accept they ran my credit again without me granting permission and now I have 2 inquiries back to back of which I want 1 removed. Barclays refuses to address this when I call and I cant reach anyone who wants to do anything about it.

Consumer Complaint: My credit card was used to purchase items from XXXX from a fraudulent email address. My XXXX email address & the email address used are totally different. XXXX has told my telephonically that they could see that the email address was fraudulent. I've disputed 3 times with Barclays Credit Card but was denied as XXXX refused to credit the charges. I requested the documentation that was sent to uphold the charges from Barclays and the documents showed that the purchases were made from a fraudulent email address that had an IP address from a different state ( XXXX, IL XXXX reside in XXXX XXXX NY XXXX from where I reside. I've called XXXX several times to attempt to have them resolve with the credit card company Barclays Bank but they haven't resolved this. I've asked for a letter to give to Barclays Bank as XXXX has acknowledged that they could see the charges were fraudulent and they stated by phone they would send but still have not sent a letter. The charges were from XX/XX/ {$130.00} & XX/XX/ {$130.00}. Interest fees associated with the charges have also been charged.
