Consumer Complaint: In a nutshell, Barclays is incorrectly reporting a 30-day delinquency to the credit bureaus and has refused to remove it. Minimum monthly payments had been set up since the card was opened in 2009, but fell off without my authorization or knowledge and caused the late fee ( that they refunded and then lied about, saying it wouldn't affect my credit ). This whole situation is straight-up fraud and not ok in the slightest - especially considering I was a loyal customer for 13 years who made every single payment on time and paid the card off in full several times. Barclays is a disgrace and I will NEVER do business with them again in any regard and I will urge everyone I know to stay away from them too. This is not how you treat people and I am at the end of my rope trying to get this situation resolved. It's affecting my credit when I have done everything right to protect it over the last 30 years. NOT OK! I have contacted Barclays no less than 3 times with urgency to get the full year of statements prior to closing the account to prove that I always had autopay turned on, but no one is getting back to me. If I don't hear back from someone to get this resolved and the mark removed from my credit reports, I will sue. None of this is ok. It's fraud and negligence and it is affecting my livelihood. I will not stand for it.

Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX I wrote a Goodwill Request for Removal for late payment reporting for XXXX. The account was closed by Barclays in XXXX. I remitted all balances due despite XXXX, XXXX, and a death of family membet I was told in XXXX it had been investigated, the late payment history reportingwould be removed within 2 business cycles. I called in XXXX and XXXX and informed it was being processed. It never occurred. In XX/XX/XXXX I received a denial letter from Barclays This is an absolute disgrace when I was assured verbally three tinws on a recorded line it woyld be completed due to Medical and Goidwill gesture. It is documented Barclays have extended this to others despite their form letter.

Consumer Complaint: I did not receive a statement or other notification from Barclays ( servicing Old Navy Navyist Rewards card ) regarding a payment due on account. The first notification of late payment was from my personal bank credit score monitoring program advising that my credit score had been reduced from XXXX to XXXX. After seeing that Barclays had filed the negative item on my credit report, I tried to access my online account. I could not remember my password and I tried to restore access via automated methods. When this did not work, I contacted Barclays customer service who first advised I did not have an online account, but later found that Barclays had a " do not contact '' feature enabled on the account. Barclay 's customer service had to restore access to my account and waived the late payment fee. Once access was restored, I immediately made the payment. Shortly, thereafter, I received a letter advising contact had been restored on my account. I do not dispute the amount owed, but I dispute Barclay 's making no effort to send me a printed statement or reminder via text, email, or other method before negatively impacting my credit score for something that could have been resolved in minutes, which could negatively impact my score for years. I filed a dispute with each of the credit bureaus, with Barclays FCRA Credit Disputes Department, and wrote of my dissatisfaction with Barclays business practices to Gap Inc Customer Relations. Each of the bureaus advised that I should resolve with Barclays. Barclays advised that because the amount was past due, they would not be removing the negative reporting from my credit report. Below is the timeline of events : XX/XX/22 : received notification of potentially negative activity on credit report XX/XX/22 : contacted Barclays customer service : account access restored, late payment fee waived XX/XX/22 : paid account balance of {$150.00} XX/XX/22 : received letter from Barclays that my request to " resume all communication regarding [ my ] Navyist Rewards Credit Card Account '' had been restored XX/XX/22 : certified letter sent Barclays FCRA Credit Bureau XXXX department received XX/XX/22 : disputes filed with 3 credit bureaus XX/XX/22 : letter sent to Gap Inc Customer Relations Again, I do not dispute the amount owed or that the payment was late. However, I was unable to access my account, and Barclays made no effort to contact me to inform me of the debt. Nor to my knowledge did I ever change the settings on my account to receive no contact from Barclays.

Consumer Complaint: Barclays of Delaware mailed me a credit card rejection letter. I hadn't applied for any credit card products. There is no phone number listed on the letter received. I searched for an XXXX number to inquire about the denial and the representative gave me a XXXX number to call. Unfortunately I don't have international options with my current phone plan. I asked if there was a fraud department I could speak with, the representative was not helpful at all. This company does not take fraud seriously and doesn't verify applicant information prior to running an application.

Consumer Complaint: Back in XXXX, I made a complaint of Barclay 's over charging me for something I did not charged, and the company removed that charged of {$54.00} dollars, and change, plus XXXX for late charges, plus interest. I paid {$30.00} there after in the middle of XXXX ; and Barclay 's again sent me another bill for {$29.00}, plus interest for {$31.00}. My Bank processed for payment to be paid to them for {$31.00} for XX/XX/XXXX. My bank had it on file, and as by now today XX/XX/XXXX should've received that check, but instead Barclay 's is sending me due date for XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX for again {$31.00} amount. This is non stop over charging me again, and again every month, and adding late fee, plus interest fees.

Due to delinquent. Falsely reported that on XX/XX/XXXX they gave me {$41.00} back while they investigated the circumstances surrounding the price of a particular payment they lost. I provided proof in the mail within the 20 business days of both electronic and picture of the cashed check they claimed was not received. They found out that it was paid, but they reported to the my credit report and Im very upset and would like something done about this. It was a false report regarding not my fault of a payment that was issued to them before the date of payment due. They lost the payment, but reported falsely to my credit report port that I did not pay it when then later they found out that I did I got a text message to said my credit card had been paid off on my credit report. I am very upset.

Consumer Complaint: I had 2 fraud transactions by the same company on Banana Repub CC in XXXX and reported to Barclay bank in XX/XX/2022. Only charges on the card were fraud at the time and I did not have to pay until the investigation was done. I received a letter in XXXX from Barclay saying the investigation was completed, fraud was confirmed and I didn't owe anything. Later, I received a bill and I was charged late fee and interest fee. Every month sometimes twice a month I had to call Barclay fraud dept, wait on hold verify my identity and still start over again unitl XXXX when I had broken down as they repeated the same thing, Barclay Fraud dept had to re-investigate the same charges. Same charges were re-marked re-investigated for months. Over time the late fees and interest fees grew and I was reported to the credit bureau. I had told them that I had several of those similar conversations with the fraud department and that they said they would later resolve with credit bureau once the fraud was confirmed. Finally after me crying on the phone for someone to help, I received a call from Barclay and the person resolved the ongoing issue. At this time, I am shown as 6 months delinquent payment with more amount owed than fraud charges. Finally, the balance of the account is XXXX and removed all the fees associated with it .Now, I asked Barclay to help me with credit bureau and they are asking me to mail them all this information and they will look into it. I had filed dispute throuh XXXX and they send me a letter saying they had repported deliquent payment accurately. Its beyond my understanding that they confirmed fraud charges, they removed after traumatizing me mentally and now they want me to send them more documents What do i need to provide, they are responsible for messing up my credit score as they weren't efficient enough to take care of things soon enough and are asking a letter with details and paper proof. They have all the proof they need. Please help, as this has caused mental trauma to me and them still asking me to go through similar process. I have lost my faith in them trying to do anything to help. I had been Banana repub customers for years..I would like my credit score to be updated to what it should have been in XXXX. I need your help please. I have documents supporting what I told here. I had filed official complaint with Barclay complaint dept in XX/XX/XXXX and no action has been taken.
