Consumer Complaint: " XXXX XXXX '' called from XXXX, VT from the number XXXX telling me " a scheduled delivery of service for tracking number XXXX XXXX you can expect my arrival today between XXXX and XXXX to the XXXX XXXX address to obtain signature on the documents. If you or your representing attorney do have any questions, or need to reschedule, contact the filing firm directly at XXXX '' I called back to the original number ( XXXX ) and she asked for the tracking number and then transferred me to a man. This man went through telling me that a civil lawsuit would be brought against me and the delivery is the serving of the papers indicating this lawsuit against me. He told me it was in regards to a US Airways Mastercard i had over 10 years ago and that I owed about $ XXXX and I had refused to make payments or to make contact with the credit company. He asked for my email to send a document ( which I still have not opened ) in which I could enter my information and " update my payment information '', and if I sent this back to them signed by the end of the work day, they would accept payment of only 50 % of what I originally owed ( about $ XXXX ). However, he said, if I did not complete this while on the phone with him, the civil lawsuit against me would go through and I would be taken to court. The email they sent the document from is XXXX XXXX XXXX I hung up on him after he sent the email. I have taken no action with them other than writing this complaint. I do not remember the name he gave me for his name nor the name of the arbitration company he claimed to be from. It was something with HR... He did know my current and most recent address, and he read my social security number to me without me offering any information to him. They clearly have too much of my information, so I'm concerned about identity theft now as well. Thank you

Issue: Improper use of your report
Subissue: Credit inquiries on your report that you don't recognize
Consumer Complaint: Hi! A Company named Barclays Bank, from Delaware, made a hard credit inquiry on my XXXX, and perhaps other as well, credit report. This happened on either XX/XX/XXXX or XX/XX/XXXX. I don't know this company nor I haven't asked for any loan or credit card with them. I am concerned this may be a fraud attempt. I've been forced to waste a lot of time on calls ( called XXXX XXXX XXXX several times with no result ) and emails. Parallel to this, on XX/XX/XXXX, ANOTHER company I know nothing about, XXXX XXXX, made another inquiry on my credit score. This one happened at least on XXXX, perhaps other reports as well. Same situation, I haven't asked any financial product there and I am concerned this may be a fraud attempt. In this case I had no information on how to contact them so I haven't written nor called. Would appreciate a lot your help on this, finding out what happened, prosecuting these two companies and fixing this information in all three of my credit reports ( at least XXXX XXXX, XXXX ) as these companies are violating my rights and damaging me. Also, if possible, would appreciate some email or evidence supporting that I'm making this claim. I only have screenshots of XXXX XXXX / XXXX showing this credit inquiries, will provide as needed. Thank you so much and kind regards

Consumer Complaint: The existence of a derogatory rating on my account is causing me significant concern. I am deeply worried about its potential impact on my credit. It has already resulted in the denial of a recent loan application and an increase in the interest rates on my existing credit accounts. I want to emphasize the severe financial and emotional distress that this negative rating has caused me and will continue to cause until it is resolved.

Consumer Complaint: Over the course of a few months I called four different times giving information and inquiring on the status of my account. I do not have specific days that I made the phone calls but I did fax 3 different letters stating that there was a data breach that contained my information. Today is the the fourth time I called inquiring on the status of the credit card/account that I did not open at all was closed and they are still doing a investigation. I strongly feel that they will not help me close the account and it is beyond frustrating and is effecting my credit due to a balance that was placed on the credit card.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I noticed an unauthorized charge for {$62.00} on a credit card ending in XXXX issued from Barclays. This was unsetteling for XXXX reasons - the first was I never activated the card, so no charges should have been allowed on it and the second was I didn't have a subscription to XXXX XXXX Live. I had cancelled it back in XXXX of XXXX. I immediately called Barclays to dispute this and gave them all the pertinent information. I received a letter from Barclays dated XX/XX/XXXX acknowleding the dispute and another letter dated XX/XX/XXXX stating they were awaiting a response from XXXX. In XXXX of XXXX the charge of {$62.00} was reversed and then put back on the card. I started getting charged interest, penalties and late fees for a fraudulent charge on an inactive card!! Very frustrating. I received a letter dated XX/XX/XXXX from Barclays stating that the credit limit on the same credit card was lowered to {$500.00} because it was delinquent. On XX/XX/XXXX, I called XXXX several times and finally spoke to a XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX We spoke for XXXX XXXX and they informed me they had no record of the credit card on file and that is was fraud. I reported the card as compromised to Barclays and then received a letter dated XX/XX/XXXX stating that the card ending in XXXX has been closed due to suspicious activity. I wrote a letter to Barclays with a copy to the CFPB on XX/XX/XXXX with a full explanation of what happened and Barclays refusal to fix the fraudulent charge on the card ending in XXXX. I then received another letter from Barclays dated XX/XX/XXXX stating that they would not credit my account because they were not provided with the true nature of the dispute when first notified of the claim. This is UNTRUE as I explained the nature in my calls and in my letter. I received a letter dated XX/XX/XXXX saying my account had been closed because it was past due. The Barclays case number for my complaint is XXXX XXXXXXXX.
