Consumer Complaint: Good afternoon, I am in the middle of refinancing my home. It was brought to my attention that Ally financial is reporting a debt due on my credit report from on or around 2014. I have disputed this in the past. On Monday, XX/XX/XXXX I called Ally financial directly and was told that the account was paid in full and that there was a XXXX balance. This lines up with my accounting. I asked that they please send me a paid in full letter via fax. Ally financial said that they would however never did. I called back last Thursday and was transferred to about XXXX different people so Im telling me it was paid in full sun telling me it was sold to another company so Im telling me that there was a balance so Im telling me they had no idea what I was talking about. My account with Ally financial was paid in full and was always in good standing. Yep they continue to report an accurate information over and over on my credit report

Consumer Complaint: Ally Bank shut down my accounts today and withdrew {$2400.00} with no warning. I called them today and they could not give me the reason. They just said they had the right to do it as a part of my agreement. I know have to wait for checks to arrive in the mail in order to pay my Bills. This will cause me a lot of unnecessary work since I now have to change my direct deposit for update and update the accounts for all my ach transactions. The escalations XXXX disconnected the call when I requested a better resolution to the issue.

Consumer Complaint: I refinanced my auto loan with another company and paid off my loan with Ally in full. There was an overpayment of {$1800.00} and was told a check would be issued back to me. Ally indicated my account was paid in full on XX/XX/XXXX and a check was issued back to me on the XXXX for the overpaid balance ( approx {$1800.00}. ) On Tuesday ( XX/XX/XXXX ) I contacted Ally to ensure I had no misunderstanding and that the check was in the mail ( before making another financial commitment ). The rep assured me it was in the mail and to give it XXXX more days. So I did. ( Note, Ally indicates they have a transcript of this chat, however when I asked for it today they refused to provide me with a copy. ) Today ( XX/XX/XXXX ) no check, so I got in contact with Ally again to confirm the address they sent it to. At this time an agent comes back and tells me the check was never issued and it could be another XXXX days before they issue the check. I went round and round and he said he requested my check to be expedited but it was up to the refund team, so I'm confident he was just trying to put me off. I am concerned they are stealing my money or I'm being swindled.

I recently pulled my credit report from your Bureau and my attorneys and I had a chance to go over my credit report and in amazement, that you have decided to report me XXXX days late on this account in XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, as well as XXXX days late in XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX. I immediately disputed this information with XXXX XXXXL and the results of the investigation came back " verified ''. Not only was I never late on this account, but according to the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, the information furnisher is required to notify me of the insertion of negative listings. Since I have disputed the lates with the creditor, and you obviously " verified '' them, I am very curious as to what kinds of " records '' you may have for this alleged account. I am very confident that you are in violation of the ( XXXX ) and ( XXXX ) sections ( XXXX, XXXX. XXXX, and XXXX. ) as stated below : XXXX. Correction of billing errors ( b ) Billing error ( XXXX ) The creditor 's failure to reflect properly on a statement, a payment made by the obligor or a credit issued to the obligor. ( XXXX ) A computation error or similar error of an accounting nature of the creditor on a statement. ( XXXX ) Failure to transmit the statement required under section XXXX ( b ) of this title to the last address of the obligor which has been disclosed to the creditor, unless that address was furnished less than twenty days before the end of the billing cycle for which the statement is required. ( XXXX ) Any other error described in regulations of the Bureau. XXXX. Regulation of credit reports ( a ) Reports by creditor on obligor 's failure to pay amount regarded as billing error After receiving a notice from an obligor as provided in section XXXX ( a ) of this title, a creditor or his agent may not directly or indirectly threaten to report to any person adversely on the obligor 's credit rating or credit standing because of the obligor 's failure to pay the amount indicated by the obligor under section XXXX ( a ) ( XXXX ) of this title, and such amount may not be reported as delinquent to any third party until the creditor has met the requirements of section XXXX of this title and has allowed the obligor the same number of days ( not less than XXXX ) thereafter to make payment as is provided under the credit agreement with the obligor for the payment of undisputed amounts. ( b ) Reports by creditor on delinquent amounts in dispute ; notification of obligor of parties notified of delinquency If a creditor receives a further written notice from an obligor that an amount is still in dispute within the time allowed for payment under subsection ( a ) of this section, a creditor may not report to any third party that the amount of the obligor is delinquent because the obligor has failed to pay an amount which he has indicated under section XXXX ( a ) ( XXXX ) of this title, unless the creditor also reports that the amount is in dispute and, at the same time, notifies the obligor of the name and address of each party to whom the creditor is reporting information concerning the delinquency. ( c ) Reports by creditor of subsequent resolution of delinquent amounts A creditor shall report any subsequent resolution of any delinquencies reported pursuant to subsection ( b ) to the parties to whom such delinquencies were initially reported. XXXX. Timing of payments ( a ) Time to make payments A creditor may not treat a payment on a credit card account under an open end consumer credit plan as late for any purpose, unless the creditor has adopted reasonable procedures designed to ensure that each periodic statement including the information required by section XXXX ( b ) of this title is mailed or delivered to the consumer not later than XXXX days before the payment due date. Because I take my credit very seriously, I contacted every name and account that was listed on the report. I was again very shocked by the multiple names, account numbers and figures. Included with this letter, is every letter written to those who have hampered my ability to obtain credit. I believe that any judge that looks over the report would agree that it is a violation of both the XXXX XXXX and XXXX The following accounts were listed on your report and I have demanded from them a full accounting and XXXX years worth of records to see if their accounts were in violation of the FAIR XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ). We also demanded signed contracts, agreements or any legal paperwork that would tie us to the following accounts. Under the XXXX, you are required to conduct an investigation on this account if I request it. I DEMAND to see all 100 % verifiable proof that I was indeed Verifiably late on these accounts and the creditor fulfilled its obligations under ( XXXX XXXX ( a ) ( XXXX ) ), As I was never notified of a billing delinquency on my accounts, which the creditor must do under section ( XXXX ( b ) ( XXXX ). I DEMAND to see proof that I was mailed my statement to the correct address notifying me of both payment due date and delinquency of payment on the account. If you can not provide 100 % Verifiable proof and proper documentation that the CREDITOR fulfilled its obligations under the ( XXXX ) and ( FCRA ), I therefore demand these late payments be removed from my account or I will be forced to be in contact with the Attorney General of my State and the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX I therefore am submitting my written request to you to conduct an investigation. Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/21, I deposited a check into my Ally Bank Checking Account using the Ally Bank App so that I could get proof of funds to my loan officer and get money into escrow as we just bought a new home. Friday XX/XX/21 I never saw the funds in my account. Usually it shows up right away or next day. I gave Ally Bank a call and they said they could not help me with any funds and that the money I put in the account could not be used until a whole week later! This has to be criminal!!! This is MY money that I need to right away or I can not close on a house and the bank tells me I can not use it! That is just down right wrong. Something needs to be done about this. Now most likely won't get the only home I have ever wanted or ever will want ; my grandmothers old house. Thanks to Ally Bank for potentially ruining my life. What a messed up way to run a business!
