Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/, Ally Bank restricted my bank account. I have over {$25000.00} in my account and no ability to pay basic bills. Workers I talked to will not provide a timeline for the issue to be resolved. The only question I was asked was about deposits made from XXXX for selling sports cards. I can provide proof of any or all purchases and resales for deposits hitting the account. I run the XXXX account with a friend of mine, XXXX XXXX, and have provided his information when applying for his name to be on the account. I have also offered to provide any agreement with friend to use his account via a notarized letter or anything else.

Consumer Complaint: Starting on XX/XX/2023 I have been unable to access my Ally Financial Account in order to make payments to bill and see relevant information regarding documents and other remaining balance inquiries. On XX/XX/2023 I made numerous attempts to contact the company and resolve the issue to no avail. The company failed to provide a resolution and explained they do not have a planned date to find a solution. In total, I had XXXX separate phone calls with representatives of the company who were unable to regain access to my account. I am unable to see financial documents, loan agreement, billing dates, amount due, and other fees related to the auto loan I placed with the company. The number given to customers to solve issues like this is XXXX - none of the representatives have been able to regain access and their team has stated " this is a known customer issue, with no solution in sight ''. I would like my loan obligation to this company to end if I am unable to see the remaining documents and agreements. I am now receiving messages regarding " late payments '' and " past due balances '' although they have failed to give me access to my account after their own system failure.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023, Ally Bank was advertising a {$200.00} bonus for opening a new " Ally Bank Spending Account '' by using a promotional code XXXX ( See attached screenshot of the advertisement [ XXXX ] ). I used the online form to open a new account. On the form, there was no place to enter a promo code. See attached screenshot of the new account form and note that there is no input field for a promo code. [ XXXX ] ( This screenshot was taken by going to the form again after the fact. The redacted area contains only my personal information. ) I continued with the form, assuming there would be a place to enter the promo code on the next screen. However, there is no next screen ; the account had now been opened. I spent a few minutes in the account interface looking for a place to enter a promo code, and, finding none, started a chat with an Ally Bank customer service associate to ask how to apply the XXXX promo code ( transcript attached [ XXXX ] ; please note that this transcript contains my personal information ). The associate informed me that the code would automatically apply by clicking on the advertisement. I asked them to verify that it had been applied to the account, since I had needed to log in to my Ally account in between. The associate then said that this offer was for new customers only. In the terms of the XXXX offer ( see attached [ XXXX ] ), it states that a " New Customer '' is defined as : >New Customer Someone who does not currently have, nor within the last twelve ( XXXX ) months has had, an Ally Bank Spending Account ( s ) [ formerly known as Ally Bank Interest Checking Account ], at any ownership level, whether it be primary owner, XXXX owner, or fiduciary owner. Additionally, customers who received a cash bonus from Ally Bank within the last twelve months for setting up QDD, regardless of account type, are not eligible for this bonus and not considered a New Customer. I have never had a spending account or checking account with Ally Bank -- only a Savings Account, which is why I needed to log in. I pointed this out to the associate, who then informed me that they would escalate the case to " Deposit Operations ''. After getting supervisor approval, they gave me a case reference number and said I could expect to hear about next steps in XXXX business days. The conversation described above took place a few minutes after the account had been opened. XXXX days later, on XX/XX/2023, I still had not heard back so I started another customer service chat. I gave the case number to the associate, but the associate said they were unable to find that case number and recommended that I call the customer service phone number. I called customer service on XX/XX/2023. I do not have a transcript of the call, but they informed that the case was still pending and I would hear back when it an approve/reject decision had been made. It has now been more than XXXX months since the account was opened and I have not heard anything from Ally Bank regarding this matter. The promo bonus was one of the main reasons I chose to open a new checking account with Ally Bank. Other banks were also offering promotions at that time, but those offers are now expired. I feel that I have been falsely advertised to.

Consumer Complaint: Account/vehicle paid off on/about XX/XX/2023. A copy of sales contract was sent to me stamped " paid in full '' and congratulations to me for the payoff, but no mention of the lien release. This was received with a date of XX/XX/2023. I waited patiently for the title to arrive but by mid XXXX I contacted Ally customer service XXXX for assistance. Since XXXX, I've contacted AllyXXXX several times requesting my title and/or lien release document to be sent to me. Of course, each time the agent supposedly documented the request and advise the pay in full office or something to that effect, would have to respond to the request and would mail the item. After the first couple of follow-up calls from me, I was told the title and/or lien document was sent and if I didn't receive it, it was probably lost in the mail system. They would request again and resend. The last two contacts to the Ally customer serviceXXXX office I was told that the previous request was never responded to by the in office request. As of today, XX/XX/2023, same response of " No response from in office request, but will resend request for title and/or lien release for transmit to me.
