The merchant listing on paypal did not reveal that the merchant was not located in the United States of America and in addition, I was charged for 3 gaming systems instead of 1 and I was charged for the amount totaling XXXX. After reading a policy of paypal I took the step required of contacting the merchant who was unresponsive, and I contacted paypal to advise and dispute and my paypal declined to offer any remedy for the transaction, and paypal have failed to offer any assistance with communicating with the XXXX merchant or recouping the funds. Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I tried withdrawing funds held in my PayPal account to my bank. The amount was {$64.00}. When attempting to transfer money to my bank which has already been confirmed, PayPal tells me, " XXXX XXXX XXXX We just need some additional info to confirm it's you. Please add a phone. '' I already have my phone setup for 2 Factor Authentication but when entering that number, I am told, " This type of phone number isn't supported ''. If I enter my old number, it accepts it. The problem is I don't have access to that number. The same exact issue happened on multiple browsers. Whenever I call PayPal, I am unable to speak to a live agent. Instead the automated system hangs up on me. Online support has been entirely unhelpful. They ignore my issue and use generic automated replies. Eventually an agent lied and said they would have someone call me within 48 hours. I waited but no one called. I have asked what happened but the agent has ignored me. Agents would randomly change names without explanation. The names have been XXXX, XXXX, XXXX XXXX, and XXXX XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: I contacted Paypal, and they put me in touch with their Limitations department, where I spoke with XXXX. She looked into the PayPal Cash Card that was sent to me unsolicited and initated a three party call with The XXXX XXXX, that issued the card. XXXX at XXXX had my social security number and date of birth, which had been used to open the account, and which I had NOT provided to Paypal or XXXX at any time. The card had my maiden name only on it, not my married name. XXXX closed the account opened in my maiden name, and XXXX put a block in Paypal for future cards to be opened. She also sent me information on how to report the social security number fraud to the three credit bureaus and the Federal Trade Commission. There were not any transactions yet on the card, but now I want to make sure others are not opened in my name with my information.

Consumer Complaint: Hello I am writing in regards to PayPal and there terms on holds on my funds, and upon trying to contact them about such money they refuse to allow telephone contact do to covid 19 even though upon leaving a message online they ask for me to contact them by phone, and then when calling they say no is available to accept calls any longer. I had 72 sent to me for sense XXXX which they canceled the payment once so I had to wait and extra 21 days which made it a total of 62 days and then they suspended my accoubt after many emails back and forth receiving a different answer each time, I was informed that I could jow transfer my funds or I caN purchase online items with my PayPal they asked for identification I sent it they then suspended my account not b allowing me to do so stating they can now hold my money for 180 days and what gets me that is against my rights as the money is mine and they are withholding it with my credit cards and bank account in PayPal refusing to allow me to remove them and close my a count ASAP leaving my account to have security issues ... I be damned if this continues someone needs to do something with Paypal they are not paying interest and they are holding my money as if it is a CD or something please help?
