Consumer Complaint: I have a Venmo account that I use often to send and receive money from friends. Most of the time I use the credit cards that I have associated with my account because this is more convenient for my cash flow. I recently tried sending payments from my account that is in good standing using one of my credit cards that is in good standing and has plenty of available credit. It was declined without reason. I thought it was odd and tried using another credit card I have saved in the venmo account. It was also declined without reason. I reached out to support for help and they let me know that they can not override a system decline and that it happened randomly to protect me. I let them know that it makes no sense and why do they allow people to use credit cards on the platform if they are only going to decline them. How is it alright to rely on a service for that service to randomly decline your transactions without reason? In the chat with XXXX XXXX on XXXX I was basically told that although my account is in good standing that they can not approve my transactions. This makes me feel like they are using discriminatory practices to manage transactions.

Consumer Complaint: I have now tried for almost a month to verify my paypal account email. It is not working and when you contact paypal customer service they just send you the same email and then tell you to call an automated system that then hangs up on you and tells you to send them a message. I asked for a callback and when I stated I did not get a callback. the person called me and immediately hung up then sent a message and said we tried to call but couldn't reach anyone. I explained to paypal that I can now not receive a payment because paypal is stopping it because my email isn't verified. Despite my email not being verified though. Paypal has allowed me to add multiple bank accounts, change my password ( with the link being sent to that email ) use paypal to make charges and sent me a paypal debit card. But now when it comes to receiving money I can't receive it because my email isn't verified.

Consumer Complaint: I have requested PayPal to close additional accounts they have opened under my name, which they have refused to. It has been more than a year in the complaint management. I have asked PayPal to clear their statements and to verify the accuracy of the itemized transactions, they believe and wrote in letter statements that their billing is without fault. More than one merchant has confirmed refunds which appears as an unpaid charge to my account. I have asked PayPal to verify the amounts of monies they have transacted directly via ACH or other instruments to attain monies from non-PayPal accounts, they said that I have not paid. I have confirmed with more than one savings bank that they have charged to my account via direct and immediate debit charges they considered credit card transactions.

Today on the XXXX of XXXX i received an email from PayPal including the following : " During a recent review, we found an unacceptable level of potential risk associated with your account. As a result, we've permanently limited your account and you can no longer use PayPal. '' I have {$2500.00} usd and {$2200.00} aud in my paypal balance and for them to close my account without reason just because they see a potential risk in keeping my account open even though ive been using paypal since 2018 and never had a problem.

The phone number that it was directed to is tied to the correct account but pay pal sent it to an email address not affiliated the with said destinatio I contacted them and the first time they stated a refund would be issued within 48 hours of the phone call. After not receiving the refund, I called them back. This time they stated they could request a refund from the mistaken recipient but could not do it on they're end. This is a problem caused because of a fault in their system and i need refund issued asap

Consumer Complaint: PayPal is managing everything and not releasing information. XXXXXX/XX/XXXX is on the leash with PayPal. There is no separation between the two. No phone calls are returned to me. Everyone is reclining on information. The purchased of the bike is XXXX it is the wrong size, it is the wrong color. I'm XXXX ' XXXX '' .. I got a bike for a XXXX ' XXXX '' person and Im not going to make a mistake like that. By PayPal return policy it's an automatic refund. A return label ( PayPal ) was given by merchant an it was not recognized by XXXX what I called XXXX. I know PayPal has been the merchant all the way. PayPal did not issue me an ( knowingly ) order ID number either needed by XXXX. After 14 days PayPal comes with a settlement of {$30.00} to ship the package. That to me is " extortion. '' I've been battling 40 hours on this issue for 2 weeks. Consider someone's time please. Still the bank refuses to issue refund. Immediate firing of the bank personnel shall be imminent. XX/XX/XXXX so calls " general department '' the claim center. And no one can talk to a claim center representative. Also the removal of PayPal employees should be considered. No joke they have hired " grammar School employees '. I do not believe XX/XX/XXXX employees do not have a high school education. I would like an immediate refund. This has been a laughing matter. This is a humiliation at a bank level and at a federal level. I was a process server and retired. I had a money market from the XXXX XXXX XXXX. And yes I am a member of the family.

Consumer Complaint: I always try to shop and sell online using Paypal. I found it to be most secure. I sold a product, the person received the product, and sent me a payment for it. Paypal decided to " hold the funds '' this has been going on for 3 days. I have contacted the recipient, and was told that they don't even have the option to click the " verify transaction '' button so that my funds can be released. Paypal charges fees for all transactions not sent to family and friends. They took their fee out, but I still have no access to my funds. If the money is " on hold '' why would they get paid for the service and I don't. The recipient has the product, Paypal has their payment, but I don't have my funds. I have tried to call Paypal for 2 days and the line hangs up after telling me they can't take my call. So what am I supposed to do when my bills are due and this billion dollar corporation is holding my funds, but won't answer my calls?

Consumer Complaint: In 2019, My Venmo account and my linked banking account were hacked into because of a security issue on Venmo 's part. I have tried to contact Venmo multiple times to get whatever remaining money I had on my account after they had banned me from their services because I was too much of a liability. But then, they acknowledged that there was a security issue on their end, but then they blame it on me and subsequently, banned me from the service. They have not budged on their stance and as a result, I can not send money to family members and my landlord for rent.
