Issue: Problem with a company's investigation into an existing problem
Subissue: Their investigation did not fix an error on your report
Consumer Complaint: I have an account on my credit report from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. Experian refused to do a proper investigation of the debt during a dispute, and only allowed me the length of a tweet to provide any information. I have multiple CFPB complaints against XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and am pursuing legal action against them. This company first contacted me and did not claim to be a debt collector they later contacted me and did not properly verify the debt. Since then they claimed they were hired by themselves to collect this debt, even though they say theyre collecting on behalf of XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX I never owed any debt to XXXX XXXX XXXX llc. In fact in there verification documents they literally state I owe it to XXXX XXXX XXXX. Now on top of that this supposed original debt came from a scam that was being run. The original contract they provided is legit but the company broke it and backed out. The balance sheet is completely made up and full of wrong information. If you would take 2 minutes to look you would see it says Im their tenant, which Im not and never was. And this was a move out sheet but my move out date on the sheet is listed in 2024. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX is not a real debt collector they are scammers who got hold of some information with some other scammers and are making up a fake debt. Not to mention the amount reported isnt even right theyre illegally reporting interest and fees. And once again the original creditor they have listed I never even had an agreement with, they arent part of this at all. And theyre claiming to be hired to collect for themselves but have said that nowhere else.

Consumer Complaint: The creditor is reporting to credit agencies that my mortgage account is closed, when it is not closed. I have disputed it through XXXX XXXX which didnt change it, and reported it directly to XXXX XXXX, but they did not correct the error at end of investigation. My husband is showing the account as open, by my credit report shows it as closed after several attempts to fix. XXXX XXXX was not helpful in fixing their own reporting error and refused to help other than tell me to report it to credit bureau instead of fix. This has been shown as closed since XX/XX/2023 which has affected my credit report
