Please be advised that this is not a refusal to pay, but a notice sent pursuant to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, 15 USC 1692g Sec. 809 { b } that your claim is disputed and validation is requested. Consumer Complaint: I received a debt collection notice from ERC for a {$59.00} debt from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I have not had an account with XXXX XXXX XXXX for almost 2 years and have not received any invoices indicating that anything remained unpaid. There is no copy of an invoice, reference to an invoice, or other information. When I called ERC the guy on the phone was not authorized to help me unless I gave him the last four digits of my social security number, which I was not willing to give. This is a scam.
