Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I requested copies of my credit report and at that time I noticed unauthorized inquiries as well as incorrect personal data contained within my credit reports. Then on XX/XX/XXXX I submitted a request to all three credit agencies ( Equifax, XXXX and XXXX ) to delete this inaccurate information from my credit reports. Thirty days later after receiving an updated credit report the information still has not been removed. So on XX/XX/XXXX I submitted my second request to have this information corrected and deleted. As of today it has in excess of 45 days with no resolution. I am reaching out for your assistance in expediting this matter. Consumer Complaint: 15 USC 1681 a ( d ) ( 2 ) ( A ) ( i ) clearly states that transactions between the consumer and the XXXX making the report is NOT included on the consumer reports. Yet XXXX, XXXX & Equifax is reporting this information. The reporting of excluded information pursuant to 15 USC 1681 a ( d ) ( 2 ) ( A ) ( i ) on a consumer report is a clear violation of Metro2 compliance. Provide me with the Metro2 compliance disclosure on reporting transactions to a consumer reporting agency. I need the transactions reporting as late, collection/charge-off status and any other derogatory information deleted from my consumer reports effective immediately. Before you think to reply that this account has been validated, lets be clear that I am not asking you to validate or verify anything. So please do not respond by telling me that as a tactic to waste my valuable time. Some of the negative accounts have been placed in Collection/Charge-Off Status WITHOUT mailing me a copy of IRS form 1099-C Cancellation of Debt. Consumer Complaint: 3rd Request : Request for Debt Verification Regarding Recent Collection Notice I have no prior knowledge of the debt in question, and to the best of my recollection, I have not entered into any agreement or arrangement with your agency regarding this alleged debt. Given this circumstance, I believe it is within my rights under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ) to request verification of the debt in question. As per the FDCPA, specifically outlined in Section 809 ( b ), I have the right to request validation of the debt. This section states : " Within five days after the initial communication with a consumer in connection with the collection of any debt, a debt collector shall, unless the following information is contained in the initial communication or the consumer has paid the debt, send the consumer a written notice containing ( 1 ) the amount of the debt ; ( 2 ) the name of the creditor to whom the debt is owed ; ( 3 ) a statement that unless the consumer, within thirty days after receipt of the notice, disputes the validity of the debt, or any portion thereof, the debt will be assumed to be valid by the debt collector ; and ( 4 ) a statement that if the consumer notifies the debt collector in writing within the thirty-day period that the debt, or any portion thereof, is disputed, the debt collector will obtain verification of the debt or a copy of a judgment against the consumer and a copy of such verification or judgment will be mailed to the consumer by the debt collector. '' In accordance with this provision, I am formally requesting verification of the debt mentioned in your recent communication. I kindly request that you provide the following information : The amount of the debt. The name of the original creditor to whom the debt is owed. Any relevant supporting documentation validating the existence and legitimacy of the debt.
