Consumer Complaint: Contacted Discover twice regarding a fraudulent transaction from a XXXX XXXX XXXX on my credit card. Was decided twice on both investigations that it was a valid charge. I am legally not liable for fraudulent transactions on my account. The supporting documentation the merchant submitted showed my account number was compromised as it was manually entered, myself or the card were not present. The invoice for the transaction show 's a XXXX XXXX, an individual I do not know or have heard of. I do not understand how Discover could not only hold me liable for this transaction but also allow the charge to be processed without the correct billing information on the account. My name or correct address are not on any of the documents in reference to the charge in dispute. This is clearly fraud and I wish to have this investigated at the Executive level, its unethical and illegal.

Consumer Complaint: On XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX I called in to inquire about an interest rate reduction. I was declined. Discover offered a 12 month interest free purchase promotion which I did not accept. I called back on XXXX,XX/XX/XXXX to accept the 12 month interest free purchase offer. I was told it was not available but, my interest rate could be reduced. I did not not accept. I called back in XXXX XX/XX/XXXX to complain and was told nothing could be done but, a reduction in my rate was available. I did not accept and informed Discover I wanted to make a complaint. They offered to accept a complaint to be presented to a higher authority @ Discover. I declined. I asked the rep for the name of an Agency outside Discover I could make a aomplaint to and was told by rep that she had no idea. I then when online & found CFPB. So, my complaint is that Discover told me my interest rate could not be lowered. Then offered me a promotion which they declined to honor & now again are telling me they can lower my interest rate. At no time did Discover inform me that the Promotion was a one time momentary offer. They declined to give it to me after I showed interest in it. This in my opinion is misleading, unfair and disingenuos. I feel Discover should be bound to honor the offer.

Consumer Complaint: This company for discover put a credit card on my credit I advised them this was fraudulent I also filed a police report being a victim of identity theft the lady from investigation said she as going to investigate so she contacted the officer he explained to her that I filed identity theft and if anything was to come up the report would be valid as everything wouldnt show up on my credit if someone stole my identity at one time she goes to tell me to call him and update I finally got a hold of him to update then she says well were going to mark it as valid since you said you knew about the account for a year I never told this lady I knew about this account for a year I told her I had no knowledge until it showed on my report and she called me about it and I told her to play a recording of me saying I knew about it and she refused she just wanted to close her investigation and place it on me is against law for me to have to pay for a credit card that I did not open and is fraudulent and I have filed a police report last year in XXXX being a victim and this account she stated was open in XXXX this is a fraudulent account and I would like for this to be removed ASAP as it is against my rights for XXXX for a discover card that is jot mine the lady was just mad because I told her Im not paying for anything that is not my debt and she said well you told us you knew I said lady when if I told her that why would she contact the officer and wait for me to add it to the report because they are lying trying to get money out of me for an account that is not mine

Consumer Complaint: This dispute has been going on for almost 6 months now. I purchased an internet package from the XXXX XXXX XXXX onXX/XX/XXXX for XXXX. The internet did not work ; therefore I went to the internet manager and she credited me for XXXX. The next day I was charged XXXX. I went to the internet manager and she advised that it was a mistake and would be credited again. The other dispute is for the XXXX XXXX. The charge of XXXX was for a haircolor. My discount promotion was not applied ; therefore they issued me back a credit of XXXX and charged me XXXX. I am not disputing the amount of XXXX ; I disputed the amount of XXXX. The hair color completely washed out when I arrived home the next day.

They sent it to a debt collection attorney XXXX XXXX XXXX who has stated that they are no longer collecting the debt ( I attached the proof below in their response from a complaint I filed against them ). I am closing on a home and need to pay the original debt to Discover as a settlement for {$3100.00}. If this does not take place XX/XX/19 I wont be closing on my home at all and therefore no debt will be collected at all. So Im trying to pay the payoff of {$3100.00} at closing to Discover bank. My closing attorneys will pay it at closing. So please forward this complaint to the vendor department so that this can be settled. Or send CFPB in response back the payoff balance of the debt so that it can be submitted to the mortgage closing attorneys.
