Consumer Complaint: I was approved for a credit card with a {$500.00} credit limit. Thats all I was approved for. However, Capital One charged over my limit without my authorization. Risk management approved my account with a {$500.00} limit for a reason! I cant use this card if I make a purchase over the limit. The card is declined!!!! Now I have a collection account for {$3200.00} on my credit report. This has ruined my score so I am not able to get approved for a mortgage -1st time homebuyer. I need to have the collection reduced to {$500.00} total. How can Capital One add additional charges without my consent?

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/2022 someone opened a Capital One account in my name they applied for a line of credit trying to obtain a credit card in my name using my personal information without my knowledge or authorization and Capital One allowed them to do it instead of consulting with me first as it is stated on my credit report to do so through XXXX XXXX failed to contact me to let me know through the fraud alerts that are on my account with them to let me know about this transcation that was transpiring at the time when it was being committed and now I have soft inquiry on my credit report that has not been removed that needs to be removed for something that I did not authorize due to the negligence of XXXX. On XXXX XXXX 2022 someone also applied for a loan through XXXX XXXX XXXX in my name without my authorization without my knowledge yet once again here my identity has been misused improperly. I did file a identity theft with the Federal Trade Commission reporting that my identity has been stolen thru XXXX which should be on file stating that no one should be submitting fraudulent accounts in my name and that I am a victim of identity theft. I have gone through great lengths to try and keep my credit secure on my accord to the best of my ability by placing freezes on all of my credit reports and setting up security fraud alerts but to no avail hackers and scammers are still trying to open up lines of credit in my name using my persona i formation which they have obtains falsely without my knowledge or permission and they are still opening credits in my name and I have asked repeatedly for this matter to be corrected but to my avail no measure of action has been taken by the credit reporting agency XXXX I am a hard working American who pays her taxes faithfully every year and I should not have to live in fear or live like this knowing that the credit reporting agency is saying that they are monitoring my credit just to find out that they are allowing my credit to still be used in a inappropriate manner by imposters who are imposing as me to obtain something falsely using my name. They are not monitoring or protecting my credit like they claim they are and I have tired contacting them through the numbers for the customer service online but they want answer the phone they have some automated system that is set up which is not helpful for a person like me who actually likes talking to live people and I would like it if someone did something about this matter because its effecting my credit scores which is causing me to have bad credit which is not my fault I am suffering at the hands of some one else mistakes and I should not have to have these inquires on my credit report which I know I did not apply for none of these things in my name and I really need for someone to look into this matter as soon as possible please.

Remembering the Credit Card Accountability Responsibility and Disclosure Act of 2009 this can not be happening. I looked back at 5 previous statements and have made over {$500.00} in payments while my credit line was less... therefore in compliance with the Card Act, there should be no more interest on cash advances, yet they have been charging me monthly for it.. The CFPB and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency needs to launch an investigation into this because I am certain millions of consumers are being taken advantage of by Capital One due to this discrepancy.
