Consumer Complaint: I have a Capital One 360 Saving account since 2008. Today I noticed the interest rate is low to 0.3 % instead of normal APY on the market. So, I contacted with Capital One about this issue and was told that 360 Saving account is discontinued and I needed to open a new 360 Performance Saving to get an higher interest rate. The problem is Capital One has never ever contacted with me about this 360 saving account would be discontinous and the interest rate would be getting down in written notice until I, myself, found this issue. Now they treat my normal adult saving account as kids saving account by offering APY 0.3 %, which is 11 times lower than their new 360 Performance Saving account 3.4 %. I don't understand why Capital One won't send a letter to their customs about this product will be closed. It is a very easy and friendly way to keep our customers ' attention. XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: Capital One balance $ XXXX Sent a check for total balance {$100.00} on XX/XX/XXXX, check # XXXX. Capital one claims they didn't receive the check and applied fees of {$25.00} On XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX I travelled overseas to attend to my father in hospital having a XXXX XXXX. I returned on XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX Capital One charged further {$40.00} to bring the balance to {$160.00}. I did call Capital One when I realised the charges on my statement and I explained that a final total payment was sent back XX/XX/XXXX! Can they fix their records as I just got notified by the credit Bureau about late payment. After long detailed conversation with Capital One explaining about the unawareness of the lost check payment, travel and insignificant amount not paid they still went on and reported the late payment a day later and damaged my credentials as if they didn't care! I find this action is harsh and unfair especially explanation offered when I was notified and settlement was made. Capital one damaged my credit by XXXX point down across the three credit Bauru 's. Capital one ignored the credit consumer protection bureau laws : Capital one has violated my rights under 15 USC 1681 Section 602 states I have the right to privacy, 15 USC 1681 Section 604a Section 2 also, states a consumer reporting agency can NOT furnish an account without my written consent finally under 15 USC 1666 b a creditor can NOT treat a payment on credit card account under an open consumer credit plan as LATE for any purpose.

Consumer Complaint: Hello, My name is XXXX XXXX XXXX, I opened 2 credit card with Capital One and was making payments as agree. Back in XX/XX/XXXX some one hacked my phone and my identity was stolen with all my personal information. I reported to the 3 Credit Bureaus, FTC, and the CFPB I was going to file a Police Report and the local police department was only taking emergency call because of the pandemic. The people who stole my information opened some accounts and used the one I had. They Also try to use my checking account and debit cards. I had to closed and open a different account. They even try to pretend to be me to my family down in XXXX to steal money. They hacked my XXXX account stole my picture. In the meantime I keep paying my capital one account until I got a email saying that my accounts was restricted. I call capital one and they said the reason was because my payment for {$2900.00} was declined. I told the girl I never made that payment. She said they will send me a link so I can answer some questions. I never got the link. Find out reason I never got the email was because they restricted my accounts they looked all the email and I was unable to make any changes to the account. I was receiving all my correspondence by email. I move from the address I was leaving back in XX/XX/XXXX. Never received a statement never received a email I was unable to make payment or make any changes for my account. So I keep paying my small account until today just go to capitalone.com and pay. As of today my account still say the account is restricted. I lost track of this account and one day my roommates told me a man came knocking on the door asking for me and give her the letter. A summons that I being suit by capital one. I believe that the person delivered the summons broke the law he didnt even ask for Id to make sure he was delivering to the right person. Also I call the law office explain what happen and they told me to fax all the documents I had to back up what I was saying then I needed to file a Police report. What Im disputing is all the charges of late fee over the credit limit and court fees. This is not my fault you restricted my account and never sent the link to answer the question. Also remove and delete all negativity from my credit reports. And for the inappropriate delivery the summons to a 3rd party and exposing my personal business to a 3rd party I asking to consider this account paid.
