Consumer Complaint: I filed a claim on XX/XX/XXXX - claim # XXXX regarding an unauthorized charge for the sum of {$250.00}, stating that this charges was among a series of fradulent charges from XXXX account that was successfully disputed but XXXX refused to address this particular transaction. I put forth the claim to Capital One from which this amount was withdrawn explaining the very odd circumstances that XXXX ( the merchant in this case ) refused to address so I had to dispute it through my bank. To my utmost disappointment ( but not so surprised ) on XX/XX/XXXX, Capital One responded in an email that the claim has been denied and that they agree with the merchant that the fradulent transaction is valid and that they will send me the documents supporting their decision. I have waited for over XXXX weeks for the so-called document but have received nothing. The reason I said I was so disappointed but not surprised is because Capital One continues to show its incompetence to represent its customer in cases of fradulent charges. Most of the claims I have put to Capital One has never been resolved favorably because they are always quick to jump to conclusions without investigating the case and has the habit of siding with the merchant instead of protecting their customer. It is a shame that Capital One has a team of representatives that are so incompetent and don't know what they are supposed to do. This is a simple case of fraudulent transaction, and if they had only investigated it would have been a simple resolution to have my {$250.00} refunded but as usual they failed to do their job.

Consumer Complaint: My wife and I share a joint checking account. My wife 's XXXX XXXX debit card was charged for three fraudulent charges on XX/XX/XXXX, all of which hit our account while my wife 's debit card was not in her possession ( she realized she did not have the card when alerted of the charges and all purchases made on the same card within minutes of each other ). One charge was for {$45.00} from XXXX XXXX, XXXX was for {$17.00} from XXXX, and one was for {$210.00} from XXXX. XXXX XXXX emailed and texted my wife about the XXXX charge, and they promptly cancelled her card. This occurred after midnight. Because the bank was closed at this time, she called the bank the next day concerning the XXXX XXXX and XXXX charges. They gave her provisional credit and she submitted a claim. Weeks later, they denied her claim because " the card purchase was authorized with a chip ''. My wife and I have never visited the XXXX XXXX and XXXX that the card purchases took place at. In addition, XXXX XXXX failed to inform my wife of the two of the three fraudulent charges that all took place on the same date. They have not kept our money and account secure and are refusing to take responsibility for their lack of security. You'll see in the attached photos that all of the purchases were made around the same time and on the same card.

One scam issue I have incurred as follows : Scammers pose as Capital One or a legitimate company and ask you to provide personal information or transfer money by phone, text or email. They use a fake caller ID that could show up as Capital One and/ or request remote access to my device. Capital One reports inaccurate card payment status to Credit Bureaus. Also they can not make a Change of Address to my account without submitting a Driver License Photo across the Internet. Been scammed by their Customer Service Department at least 4 times and my personal information was compromised. Issue: Problem with a purchase shown on your statement
Subissue: Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX XXXX was taken out of my personal account twice. I requested the additional XXXX to be credited back to my account and Kohls stated they had to sent it in a check form. As of XX/XX/XXXX I still had not received the check for the XXXX as when I requested the check on or around XX/XX/XXXX my account balance for Kohls was XXXX. I called back in the middle of XXXX to ask where the check was and was told to wait till the end of the month. I called again in the middle of XXXX as I still had yet to receive the check and they stated they would be sending it again. On XX/XX/XXXX My payment due balance.was XXXX. As of XX/XX/XXXX they recharged me XXXX two times and added late fees to my account on top of a purchase I had made for XXXX XXXX sales. I never received the XXXX XXXX sales purchase as it never left the warehouse. I called to request a refund and never received one and also also called to ask about why I was charged twice for XXXX. The issue was not resolved and I was told to fax my bank statement showing I was charged XXXX from my bank account. I faxed that information. They then in return took off one of the XXXX charges but not the other one. I have called every month since then asking for the check to be sent and each time I am told it is being sent. As of today, it has not been sent and I am not being charged late fees on top of the money that I never owed. I have called to try to find a solution but they do not offer one. I need this fixed asap.
